Court of the Dead Mourners Share Their San Diego Comic-Con Selfies

This weekend Court of the Dead fans, or mourners, were invited to participate in several epic quests throughout the Underworld in search of fame, glory, and exciting convention exclusives.

Upon completion of the Kier exclusive pin quest, these brave souls and spirits were greeted with the opportunity to partake in a second quest, the reward for which was a grand prize opportunity to play Court of the Dead: Mourner’s Call with the creator of Court of the Dead himself, Tom Gilliliand, as well as Pat Marino, the game’s designer.

These lucky winners were treated to dinner and dangerous Underworld delights like no mortal has seen before- mainly because the board game has not even been released yet!  Using the secret quest hashtag #MournSDCC18 completed their quest, so let’s take a look at some of the intrepid adventurers who pledged their undying loyalty to Death’s noble cause this weekend:

Three lucky souls were selected at an in-person drawing at Booth #1929 on Saturday evening, and were promptly whisked away for their chance at eternal underworld glory- who would prevail in the 5-player edition of Court of the Dead: Mourner’s Call?

Ultimately, Pat Marino himself was the victor, but our lucky mourners all came out ahead of Tom Gilliland in the final scores.  They have achieved Underworld unity…for now.  Congrats to the winners!
