Ahoy, geeks! 🦈 Sideshow’s Jumping the Shark! A Custom Art Show gallery opened last weekend in Southern California. This specially curated exhibit features the works of approximately 30 artists from the Sideshow Studio and around the world. Jumping the Shark showcases their unique, one-of-a-kind visions for the same 28” resin great white shark “blank” base figure.
A number of the show’s artists attended an exciting opening night reception to view the collection and celebrate raising awareness for the Shark Allies marine conservation charity. Dive into photos and videos from the opening night reception below.
If you want to see these majestic beauties in person, don’t fret, because you totally can. Fans in SoCal can visit this custom exhibit at the The Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks, California for a limited time. The display is located in unit #364 on the lower level, next to LOFT.
Jumping the Shark! is open for public viewing from Saturday, September 13, 2025 through Sunday, September 28, 2025. The Oaks Mall is open from 12 PM – 8 PM PT from Monday to Saturday and 11 AM – 7 PM PT on Sundays.
Take a Bite out of Opening Night
Our tale begins deep in the lower levels of The Oaks mall, where fluorescent lights dance in waves across the floor. Artists, friends, and family mingled to commemorate this impressive team effort. Art gallery openings are a celebration of achievement for everyone involved.
From the curators, videographers, and graphic arts teams to the painters and sculptors themselves, each person in attendance gathered to admire three-dimensional artwork and appreciate one another’s months-long commitment to this cause. Victims of their own outsized reputation, many iconic species of shark are in danger of extinction. In honor of the completed works, a donation will be made to the Shark Allies marine life charity for the preservation of these magnificent creatures, so that generations of artists can enjoy their thrilling, prehistoric beauty for decades to come.
