Level Up! Week – Event Overview

Are you charged up and ready to join the fun? Sideshow’s Level Up! Week is June 14 – 18, 2021. Celebrating all types of gaming and fan-favorite video games, the event will feature a booth tour, livestream content, contests, and more.

What is Level Up! Week?

From Monday, June 14, 2021 to Friday, June 18, 2021, Sideshow will celebrate Level Up! Week with Sideshow rewards, livestreams, game shows, and giveaways. Plus, fans who register in advance also get exclusive access to extra rewards and giveaway opportunities sent straight to your e-mail inboxes!

Whether you find your fingers drifting toward PCs, tabletops, or classic consoles, Level Up! Week is for you. Find out what we have in store for this exciting event below.

Giveaways

There will be tons of giveaways going on across our social platforms as well as in Sideshow’s official Facebook groups. To help bolster your chances to win, you should follow Sideshow across social media, click those notification bells to be alerted when we post, and keep an eye out for when we go live.

While you’ll have to make it to the final boss before you know every prize we have for the event, we can reveal the grand prize: the Street Fighter Oni Akuma Statue by PCS. You can enter for your chance to win through the Level Up! Week Gleam page, which opens Monday, June 14 at midnight Pacific Time.

There are many livestreams happening during Level Up! Week. These include Trivial Cahoots, New at Sideshow, Unsealed and Revealed, The Comics Haul, a video game collectible themed booth tour, and the UN-Sold Out Show.

New at Sideshow LIVE

New at Sideshow is a live chat designed to catch fans up on what’s new and to showcase the latest happenings in the geek universe! During the 9am PT weekday stream, we share the newest Pop Culture Headlines, collectibles, and more. You can watch older episodes through the New At Sideshow playlist on our YouTube channel now, and tune into many more episodes during the course of Level Up! Week.

Trivial Cahoots

Trivial Cahoots is a little different than our other games because the audience gets to participate LIVE, answering between 15-20 trivia questions using a mobile device as their buzzer. First-place winners get something special. Second and third-place winners get Sideshow rewards for their account and bragging rights.

The UN-Sold Out Show

Sideshow’s UN-Sold Out Show gives live viewers exclusive access to back-in-stock collectibles. These items will be revealed live on-air with a link to purchase in a very limited quantity. Once they’re gone, they’re gone for good—again!

Let Your Spoiler Sideshow

Let Your Spoiler Sideshow is a livestream where we’ll discuss shows such as Loki and The Bad Batch™. As stated in the title, this is NOT a spoiler free stream—our hosts will talk about the latest episodes, their themes, and characters, and conjecture where next week’s storylines will go. We hope to see you there!

That Sideshow Show

Feeling overwhelmed, or like you might throw the controller if you get respawned again? Not sure if you missed something exciting during the week? Be sure to check out the Daily Wrap-Up AKA That Sideshow Show, live from 5 PM to 6 PM PT on Friday, June 18, exclusive to the Let Your Geek Sideshow Facebook Group.

Game Shows

The Fan Week game shows include Cobbled Cosplay and Win, Lose, or DIE. Although the competitor spots for Cobbled Cosplay have already been filled, we want YOU to sign up as participants for Win, Lose, or DIE! That’s right; we need contestants to play, and each contestant has a chance to win an awesome prize.

Starting Monday, June 7, 2021 at our official contestant search Gleam. Act fast, because registration closes June 16 at noon PT. Need more information? Here’s a breakdown of each game.*

Cobbled Cosplay

Is the character customizer your favorite part of any game? If you love costumes, makeup, and watching people stress out over time constraints and fashion faux-pas, Cobbled Cosplay is the one for you to watch. Unlike our past episodes where people played by proxy, aligning themselves with one of our two Sideshow team cosplayers, contestants are competing for themselves now! Contestants are tasked with recreating a surprise costume in 10 minutes using only household objects and found materials- winner takes home the prize they are cosplaying as.

We started this with our Fan Week Cobbled Cosplay Supersized Showdown: Fan Episode and couldn’t be happier with the way you geeks turned out to test your costuming prowess. We are always in need of Cobbled Cosplay contestants for future events. Learn how to audition on our blog.

Win, Lose, or DIE

If you like Dungeons and Dragons and horror stories, Win, Lose, or Die is the one for you! This is a cutthroat Choose Your Own Adventure style game that results in somebody either going home with all the glory (an amazing prize!) or DYING (losing their shot at the prize). You have to correctly make it through all ten steps of the game to reach the final step, so, if you die, someone will take your place and you’ll be gone for good.

We did say cutthroat, remember?

We have two episodes of Win, Lose, or DIE during Level Up! Week. On Tuesday, Jasmine Edwards will be sharing her original story entitled “Spooky Scary Side Quest”.

On Thursday, Amy Chase will be leading players through her original story “The Quarter Eater”.

If any or all of these game shows sound fun to you, you can register for a chance to play—and a chance to win—during Sideshow’s Level Up! Week right here.

Players will have to carefully adhere to the instructions to claim their spot. You may also get chosen as a runner up or alternate, not a main player. If you are selected as an alternate, the best way to improve your chances to actually play is by following instructions carefully.

Ser Sideshow

Level Up! with Ser Sideshow is Sideshow’s first original side scrolling platformer game, created by Sideshow staffer and Pop Culture Headline podcast host, Andrew Ceco.
