Lupita Nyong’o Dances Past Sideshow at San Diego Comic-Con 2017

We’ve heard stories before of celebrities donning masks and costumes at San Diego Comic-Con to cloak themselves among the crowds, blending in among the tired but excited masses who are none the wiser.  After the convention ends, some reveal their sneaky plans and fans everywhere rush to remember whether they saw their favorite star passing by at any point during the show.  This year, it happened again!

Lupita Nyong’o, one of the stars of Marvel‘s upcoming Black Panther film as well as the actress behind Maz Kanata in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, took to the floor of the San Diego Convention Center this year clad in a Pink Power Ranger disguise, and then danced her way across the weekend in a hilarious video montage posted on both her Twitter and Instagram accounts:

Did you see me at Comic Con?! #SDCC2017

At the start of the video, around 0:06, you might notice a familiar sight- Lupita pranced right through the Star Wars collectible side of the Sideshow Booth! Her one-woman Comic Con-ga line ran past confused crowds and busy booths, including Marvel and Sideshow, and she even took incognito pictures with some cosplayers included in the montage.

When she wasn’t paneling in Hall H for the highly-anticipated Black Panther, it’s great to see that Lupita got to have some fun on the show floor with the rest of the excited nerds at the show.  You never know what could happen at Comic-Con!

(Now to frantically check if she’s in the background of any pictures we took this weekend…)
