Marvel Television’s Agatha All Along Teaser Trailer

By Sideshow on Jul 9, 2024

Another beautiful day in Westview but, according to who? In Marvel Television’s upcoming series, Agatha All Along, the remnants of the Scarlet Witch’s power continue to haunt Agatha Harkness. Can this tricky enchantress form a coven to undo Wanda Maximoff’s spell? She’s certainly going to give it her best shot.

Following months of title teasers, only to reveal that it was Agatha All Along, the follow-up series to WandaVision will premiere with two episodes on September 18 — just in time to ring in the spooky season. Watch the teaser trailer below then join us for some divining. After all, it’s true what they say … the devil is in the details.

Agatha All Along Teaser Trailer

“She took every bit of power I had … but I can be that witch again.”

When we last tuned in to WandaVision, things in Westview were a bit chaotic. Wanda revealed her knowledge of witchcraft against Agatha in a moving showdown. Thanks to some well-placed runes, Wanda overpowered Agatha at her own game. Their battle resulted in Agatha remaining stuck under the Westview illusion. However, Wanda also had to say goodbye to her husband, Vision, as well as her sons, Billy and Tommy.

With encouragement from a mysterious magic user played by Aubrey Plaza, Agatha finally awakens from the Westview enchantment. We catch glimpses of her previous disguises, as well as fellow witches played by Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Debra Jo Rupp. It seems Agatha is gathering a new coven to undo the Scarlet Witch’s influence.

The show promises psychedelic Suspiria-inspired scenes, witches flying across the night sky on broomsticks, and hellish winged demons. And there’s no doubt even more thrills waiting in the darkness. As Aubrey Plaza’s sinister character says, “Claw your way out.”

Who Is Joe Locke Playing in Agatha All Along?

“Join me.”

And now for the question on so many Marvel fans’ minds: Who is Joe Locke playing in Agatha All Along? There has been much speculation about who his character could be, especially in light of recent developments in the MCU. Throughout the past few MCU phases, members of the Young Avengers have popped up. Nothing is confirmed but it would make sense for Joe to be playing a version of Billy, Wanda Maximoff’s witchcraft-inclined son.

In the comics, Wanda’s twin sons are taken away from her, only to reincarnate later as teenagers. It’s possible Joe Locke’s character could be Billy, especially since Agatha has already used Wanda’s sons against her before. However, without confirmation, he could be an entirely new character or even Agatha’s son, Nicholas Scratch. For now, we’ll just have to clutch our pearls until we know for sure.

Time to Hit the Witches’ Road

“Not looking for right-minded witches, as it happens.”

Witchcraft is slightly new territory for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Before Phase Four, Thor’s mother Frigga identified as a witch but that was mostly it. Then, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Scarlet Witch truly began to embrace her powerful abilities. With Agatha All Along, we’ll get to delve even further into Marvel witchcraft — which leads us to the Witches’ Road.

Last seen in Scarlet Witch’s solo series (2016) by James Robinson and the Scarlet Witch Annual #1 (2023) by Steve Orlando, this metaphysical pathway is treacherous for any who cross it. Even with formidable magic, few are successful in visiting the Witches’ Road. Wanda has traveled this path before in the comics, but can the MCU’s Agatha Harkness survive the journey? Only the full moon, and perhaps a seance, will reveal all.

What are your predictions for Agatha All Along? Will Agatha prevail against the Westview curse, and have we seen the last of the Scarlet Witch?
