Rogue One-Liners: The Best 7 K-2SO Quotes

Last Christmas, Star Wars™ debuted its first standalone film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and this last weekend, Sideshow debuted our very own Star Wars collectible K-2SO Life-Size Figure and K-2SO Premium Format™ Figure at San Diego Comic-Con 2017.

K2SO, voiced by Alan Tudyk, proved integral to assisting Jyn Erso™ and Cassian Andor™ on their journey to save the Rebellion. However, he wasn’t always the most altruistic droid, delivering his assessment of the situation with his signature dry wit. Over the course of the film, it becomes clear that the sass is strong with this one.  Alan Tudyk even took a picture of the Life-Size figure during SDCC weekend.

Here are some of the best K2SO quotes Rogue One has to offer-

Did you know that wasn’t me?

After a tense battle with Stormtrooper™ forces on the desert planet Jedha, Jyn and Cassian are prepared to defend themselves against any threat- including Imperial Droids. After Jyn shoots a K2SO lookalike, he wonders if she knew she shot the right droid.

I’ve got a bad feeling about th-

Bad feelings in the Star Wars universe are almost as omnipresent as the Force itself. In Rogue One, K2SO warns Cassian and Jyn that he has a bad feeling, but he is quickly silenced as the team moves to infiltrate Scarif’s data tower.

Congratulations, you are being rescued.

These are the first words we hear K2SO speak, and they perfectly sum up his character. After grabbing Jyn and slamming her to the ground, he sarcastically congratulates her on her rescue from Imperial forced labor.

Your behavior, Jyn Erso, is continually unexpected.”

Earlier in the film, Jyn and K2SO get into a brief moment of tension due to the fact that the woman has obtained a blaster, while Cassian won’t give one to the droid. After Jyn gives up her blaster on Scarif, the two experience a bonding moment as K2SO is trusted with the safety of the rebels as they steal the Death Star plans.

There is a ninety-seven point six percent chance of failure.”

If there is one thing droids love, it is giving the odds of danger in bad situations. Just ask C-3PO! K2SO is not shy telling Jyn and Cassian the probability that their mission on Jedha will fail. Not quite a morale booster.

I find that answer vague and unconvincing.

When Jyn first finds a blaster to use, K2SO asks her how she obtained it. This is his response to her, although it works well as a deadpan response to a lot of questions, not just about blasters.

I’ll be there for you. Cassian said I had to.

Rebellions are built on hope, but in this case, Cassian wouldn’t let his robotic friend rebel against their plans. K2SO reluctantly offers support to Jyn and comes along with the others as they launch one of the Rebellion’s biggest, and most critical, missions.

While he may be a reprogrammed, reformed Imperial droid, K2SO did not lose any of his wit and cynicism. He had some of the best one-liners in the whole of Rogue One, and by the end had proved that beneath his metal exterior was a heart of gold.

Bring home the Death Star plans and the heroes of the Rebellion with Sideshow Collectibles. If you’re looking to add K2SO and the other rebels to your Star Wars Collectible collection, please click HERE. Cassian said you had to.
