Ser Sideshow: A Rewarding Game Experience

Level Up! with Ser Sideshow is Sideshow’s first original side scrolling platformer game, created by Sideshow staffer and Pop Culture Headline podcast host, Andrew Ceco. This game was created to celebrate Level Up! Week and to reward Sideshow fans for their continued support during our online events.

Level Up! Week spans June 14 – 18, 2021. You can register for free for Level Up! Week at side.show/LevelUp21 and get the daily schedule on our Event Overview blog. And if you keep reading this blog, you can find out how to play—and maybe earn a few Sideshow Rewards—through Level Up! with Ser Sideshow.

How to Play

You can access Level Up! with Ser Sideshow on your laptop and/or desktop computer at side.show/play. On the homescreen you’ll find instructions for which keys to use and where to click to begin your epic journey as Ser Sideshow!

When you beat the game, you will be given 3 options: view the credits, continue, or play again. If you hit “continue”, all of your previous progress will be saved. If you hit “play again” you will be able to restart your run with repopulated coins.

Gameplay

This is a platformer game, which means you’ll be playing as a single character—Ser Sideshow—who is automatically propelled across the screen, and you’ll have to jump over pits and avoid obstacles as you go. You can collect coins, but these are just for fun and to guide you toward your destination!

Along the way you will meet some other fun and familiar faces. You can learn more about them and Ser Sideshow on our Meet The Characters blog.

Sideshow Rewards

Once you win the game, you will receive some sweet, sweet Sideshow Rewards in the form of a code that you can redeem at side.show/rewardcode. Please note that although you can play Level Up! With Ser Sideshow as many times as you want, you will only be able to redeem a single Reward you unlock, per opportunity, for your efforts.
