Sideshow Con 2021: Event Overview

In 2021, Sideshow’s ready for another virtual get-together. San Diego Comic-Con may be delayed, but we still declare ‘The Con is On!’

Sideshow Con 2021 will take place between Monday, July 19 and Sunday, July 25, 2021, LIVE from Sideshow HQ and beaming into your homes and office globally. As with all Sideshow events, fans can look forward to immersive and interactive fun to satiate your need for Letting Your Geek Sideshow.

What is Sideshow Con?

Sideshow Con is Sideshow’s virtual summer convention. You can register NOW at side.show/con. Registration comes with a ton of benefits, all of which you can find outlined on our Score Free Rewards, Early Access, & More by Registering for Sideshow Con 2021 blog.

During Sideshow Con 2021, fans can expect coveted content like Sideshow Rewards and game shows such as Trivial Cahoots, Cobbled Cosplay and Win, Lose or, DIE. There will also be booth tours with product rotating throughout the weeklong event, product discounts, new product reveals, exclusive product purchasing opportunities, livestreaming content, giveaways, and more.

Giveaways

There will be tons of giveaways going on across our social platforms as well as within Sideshow’s official Facebook groups. To help bolster your chances to win, you should follow Sideshow across social media, click those notification bells to be alerted when we post, and keep an eye out for when we go live.

There will also be new giveaways every day that aren’t advertised on our social media. Instead, these exclusive giveaways will be sent directly to registrants’ email inboxes with links to Gleam platform contests.

All of the social giveaways will be split into flash giveaways and giveaway challenges.

Streaming Content

There are many livestreams happening during the week of Sideshow Con. These include various highlight reels, in-depth looks at new products, games, booth tours, Trivial Cahoots, New at Sideshow, Unsealed and Revealed, The Comics Haul, the UN-Sold Out Show, Steal the Deal, and more.

New at Sideshow – Con Edition

New at Sideshow is a live chat designed to catch fans up on what’s new and to showcase the latest happenings in the geek universe! During the 9 AM PT weekday stream, we share the newest Pop Culture Headlines, collectibles, and more. You can watch older episodes on our YouTube channel now, and tune into many more episodes during the course of Sideshow Con.

Booth Tours

Part of the Sideshow Con experience is your virtual tour of our physical booth space. Our hosts will take you through the displays multiple times a day EVERY day. The booth displays will rotate every other day and include collectibles from all your favorite shows, movies, comics, and more. We will theme our tours per fandom, brand, or manufacturer, but we’ll also have all request booth tours where YOU, the audience, can tell us what you’d like to get a closer look at.

Booth Tours are where you can see the first reveal of new products and get the most up-to-date details on prototypes and production samples. We’ll also have special tours of the Sideshow Con 2021 art gallery, interviews with different Sideshow departments and creators, and so much more.

Trivial Cahoots

Trivial Cahoots is a little different than our other games because the audience gets to participate LIVE, answering 15-20 trivia questions using a mobile device as their buzzer. First-place winners get something special. Second- and third-place winners get Sideshow rewards for their account and bragging rights.

The UN-Sold Out Show

Sideshow’s UN-Sold Out Show gives live viewers exclusive access to back-in-stock collectibles. These items will be revealed live on-air with a link to purchase in a very limited quantity. Once they’re gone, they’re gone for good — again!

Steal the Deal

Steal the Deal features flash discounts, which are limited opportunities to purchase collectibles at a great sale price. These chances are EXCLUSIVE to live viewers, so make sure to mark your calendars and tune in to see what surprise discounts will be offered.

The Comics Haul

The Comics Haul is a Sideshow-produced livestream and podcast that airs Wednesdays from 4 PM to 5 PM PT, focusing on weekly comics news, reviews, and more. The Sideshow Con special episode on July 21 will feature comics from Critical Role, Marvel, and Star Wars™.

Unsealed and Revealed

Unsealed and Revealed is the most in-depth look you can get at collectible Sixth Scale Figures. You’ll be able to see the full figure, its many accessories, any swap-outs or exclusive editions, and the full range of motion and articulation.

What’s Cookin’ At Sideshow Con

Sideshow presents What’s Cookin’ At Sideshow Con, our foray into a fun and friendly cooking show. We’ll be using Sideshow HQ’s vegan Power Plant Kitchen and making drinks, desserts, and dinners using some geeky cookbooks. Sounds delicious, right? Watch along and do try this at home!

Get Super with Joshy G.

Get Super is a show hosted by Joshua Gallegos, co-owner of Deadboys Fitness. Join Joshy and his exercise-enthusiast guests as they take you through stretching, cardio, and strength training to keep you active and moving during our virtual Sideshow Con event. Strike A Pose

Strike a Pose is a competition show of epic, geeky proportions! Three contestants pose Sixth Scale Figures under the watchful gaze of judge, posing expert, and How To Be A Poser host Terry Smith. The winner keeps the figure — plus bragging rights for all eternity!

That Sideshow Show

Feeling fatigued, or like you might get lost in the maze of booths and events? Not sure if you missed something exciting during the day? Be sure to check out the Daily Wrap-Up AKA That Sideshow Show, live at 5 PM PT every day from Monday through Sunday during Sideshow Con exclusively in the Let Your Geek Sideshow Facebook Group.

There, our hosts will catch you up on all the latest news from that day’s celebration. All are welcome!

Sideshow Con After Party

On Friday, July 23 from 7 PM—9 PM PT, we’ll have a Sideshow Con After Party exclusively in the Let Your Geek Sideshow Facebook Group. We’ll be playing games, having an episode of Win, Lose, or DIE with Jasmine Edwards, giving away special prizes, and celebrating Sideshow Con with some signature shenanigans.

Game Shows

The Sideshow Con 2021 game shows include Cobbled Cosplay and Win, Lose, or DIE.

Although the competitor spots for Cobbled Cosplay have already been filled, we want YOU to sign up as participants for Win, Lose, or DIE! That’s right; we need contestants to play, and each contestant has a chance to win an awesome prize.

Starting Monday July 12, 2021, enter for your chance to play using our official contestant search Gleam. Act fast, because registration closes July 24, 2021 at 12:00 PM PT. Need more information? Here’s a breakdown of each game.

Cobbled Cosplay

Is the character customizer your favorite part of any game? If you love costumes, makeup, and watching people stress out over time constraints and fashion faux-pas, Cobbled Cosplay is the one for you to watch. Unlike our past episodes where people played by proxy, aligning themselves with one of our two Sideshow team cosplayers, contestants are competing for themselves now! Contestants are tasked with recreating a surprise costume in 10 minutes using only household objects and found materials — winner takes home the prize they are cosplaying as.

We started this with our Fan Week Cobbled Cosplay Supersized Showdown: Fan Episode and couldn’t be happier with the way you geeks turned out to test your costuming prowess. We are always in need of Cobbled Cosplay contestants for future events. Learn how to audition on our blog.

Win, Lose, or DIE

If you like Dungeons and Dragons and horror stories, Win, Lose, or DIE is the one for you! This is a cutthroat Choose Your Own Adventure style game that results in somebody either going home with all the glory (an amazing prize!) or DYING (losing their shot at the prize). You have to correctly make it through all 10 steps of the game to reach the final step, so, if you die, someone will take your place and you’ll be gone for good.

We did say cutthroat, remember?

We have two episodes of Win, Lose, or DIE during Sideshow Con. On Friday at 7 PM PT, during the Sideshow Con After Party, Jasmine Edwards will be sharing her original story entitled Inspector Sideshow and The Curious Case of The Comic Con Caper.

On Sunday at 4 PM PT, Andrew Ceco will be leading players through his original story The ConCave ConSpiracy.

Players will have to carefully adhere to the instructions to claim their spot. You may also get chosen as a runner up or alternate, not a main player. If you are selected as an alternate, the best way to improve your chances to actually play is by following instructions carefully.
