How and when did you start collecting?

I’ve been collecting comics and pop culture memorabilia since I was 7 or 8 years old.  My grandmother was a lover of books with a huge collection and she inspired me to collect.

What do you collect? Does your collection have a theme, such as Star Wars Collectibles, Batman, etc.?

Batman is my favorite character, but I tend to collect a ton of different things from Indiana Jones and Harry Potter to Kamen Riders and Sherlock Hound from Japan.

What makes your collection unique?

My collection is unique in a number of ways.  It crosses a number of pop culture lines to reach from comics to movies and television to literature and art.  My family and I have traveled the world and I try to pick up something from each place bring home.  This can be something as small as a Trojan Horse figurine from Greece to authentic Sherlock Holmes and Indiana Jones hats made in London and first edition James Bond magna books from Japan.  One of my goals when I’m in a foreign country is always to find one or two comic shops.

What are your favorite or the most prized pieces in your collection?

The Nautilus from Disney’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is one of my favorite items along with my Sideshow Bronze Age Batman statue, but I also love each piece of original art I have displayed, with pieces by Jim Lee, Brian Stelfreeze, Art Adam, Jerry Ordway, Jose Garcia Lopez, Don Rosa and John Byrne being my favorites.

What items are on your wish-list?

I’d love to get a piece of Tintin or Asterix original art, but what I really want is for Sideshow to finish off the entire Justice League in 6 scale and then move onto more obscure and classic DC characters.
