I started collecting about 3 years ago. I’ve always loved the 1989 Batman movie and came across a picture of the Hot Toys ’89 Batman figure. I had no idea models of such high quality existed and was fascinated by how lifelike it looked and ended up going to my first Comic-Con just to track one down. I swore that it would be the one and only time I’d pay that sort of money for something at the time I considered just a toy, but half a dozen statues and over a hundred 1/6 scale figures later and my collection is still growing!

What do you collect? Does your collection have a theme, such as Star Wars, Batman, etc.?

I guess the theme of my collection would be movies. I don’t collect any one thing specifically but I do have quite a few Batman items!

What makes your collection unique?

I think everyone’s collection is unique. You might have the same figure or statue as someone else but the way you choose to pose or display it makes it unique to you.

What are your favorite or the most prized pieces in your collection?

The ’89 Batman as it was, the figure that started it for me. My Sideshow Galactus statue and Dark Knight life sized bust are both spectacular pieces. It may be a cliche but it’s hard to pick out individual pieces as you have to appreciate the work and artistry that goes into each one of them.

What items are on your wishlist?

I’ve been really lucky as I’ve managed to get hold of almost every piece that I’ve wanted, but I would love to own the Sideshow Avengers Hulk Maquette and wish that Hot Toys would have actually released the ’66 Batmobile.
