How and when did you start collecting?

I started collecting primarily Batman memorabilia in the early 90s. It began with small items like pez dispensers, and the older I got the larger collectibles. My collection started before the wide range of the Internet and all the sites to search out items. So, I would go to like antique fairs, and stares at the mall like the WB store.

What do you collect? Does your collection have a theme, such as Star Wars, Batman, etc.?

Started collecting solely Batman memorabilia. However, I am also just a big Sci-Fi nerd. So my collection grew to also include Star Wars, Alien, Predator, Terminator, and even Harry Potter. As it states on the door it’s my theater room, with the main theme being Batman, but also the Si-Fi classics.

What makes your collection unique?

I think my collection is unique in the way that there are different movie/comic series and characters represented, but didn’t just group one movie or character with only itself. Instead, combining the memorabilia I think it makes you focus on each piece on its own instead of just looking at the Batman corner, or Star Wars wall. I also encourage people viewing my collection for the first time to interact with some of the pieces. Especially the lightsabers.

What are your favorite or the most prized pieces in your collection?

I would have to say the two life size busts of The Dark Knight and Darth Vader are my most prized pieces. Maybe my most interactive piece combined with most prized would be my Captain America: Winter Soldier stealth shield from Sideshow. Only 250 were made, and had it registered. So, it might be my most rare collectable.

What items are on your wish-list?

I am always looking to grow my collection, and my new favorite on my wishlist would have to be the life size RoboCop bust. Not only do I love the movies and character, but it would add a new branch into my love for the Sci-Fi genre.
