This epic trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse is just what the world needs

We have seen the future – our first look at the next generation of X-Men is here! Following teases on Instagram from director Bryan Singer and the official X-Men Movies account earlier this week, 20th Century Fox has revealed the full trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse and from what we’ve seen, the world needs these X-Men.

Taking place a decade after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past, Apocalypse awakens from his Egyptian tomb hell-bent on recruiting mutants to destroy humanity.

Bringing back the amazing cast of mutants from previous installments First Class and Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Lucas Till as Havok.

The new film also welcomes on board a new generation with Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Lana Condor as Jubilee, and of course The Force Awakens‘ Oscar Isaac as the big bad – Apocalypse!

“He’s believed to be the first mutant, whatever that means,” Isaac told Entertainment Weekly. “He is the creative-slash-destructive force of this earth. When things start to go awry, or when things seem like they’re not moving toward evolution, he destroys those civilizations. The last battle is going to be pretty insane. I mean, it’s like freaking Apocalypse fight all of the X-Men. It’s pretty cool.”

It is set for release on May 27, 2016. Until then, only the strong will survive.
