Sideshow Art Prints- What is a Timed Edition?

Limited Edition vs. Timed Edition

Many of the pieces offered by Sideshow Art Prints are created in a limited edition size. This means each design run is limited to a specific number of prints, usually numbered and announced ahead of time, which are available on the site until the edition is sold and there are no more prints to offer.

However, a timed edition is slightly different. Instead of selling the print until the full edition is gone, the edition is set based on sales during a limited window of time, after which the print will never be available again. What does that mean for collectors?

A timed edition print means that if you are thinking of buying the collectible artwork, then you want to do so quickly while the sales timeframe is still open. The final edition is only determined after the window closes and no more prints can be purchased. When the timer reaches zero, the print will then be marked as “sold out” on the website.
