Sideshow’s Universal Monsters Drawloween Challenge!

This October, join Sideshow for a chilling drawing challenge in honor of the iconic Universal Monsters! You don’t have to be a mad scientist in order to make artistic monsterpieces.

Sideshow’s Universal Monsters Drawloween Drawing Challenge asks you to immortalize these cinema legends with illustrations and other unique artistic creations for a chance to be featured on our social media channels — and a select few participants will be chosen to win fa-boo-lous prizes. Entries will be judged on creativity, spirit, and overall presentation.

While the exact dates and prizes are still under wraps (just like the Mummy), you can learn a little more about what’s in store for this exciting October activity.

How to Participate

When each new challenge theme is posted, follow the instructions and upload your submission to your own public social media accounts with the hashtag #SideshowDrawloween. Drawing Challenges

The Universal Monster Drawloween Challenges are open to all skill levels! Here is a preview of what you can expect from each prompt before they’re posted on our social media channels.

Frankensketch

Are you a mad scientist? Are you ready to make a monstrous creation of your own? Inspired by Frankenstein’s Monster, this prompt challenges you to bring to life a pencil sketch/drawing.

Count Drawcula

Vampires love drawing — drawing blood, that is! Inspired by Dracula, you can use any medium for this prompt. All bites welcome.

Howl & Ink

Paws and think about this Wolf Man-inspired challenge, which asks you to create a portrait of a dog, wolf, or werebeast of your choosing.

Invisible Ink

There’s more than meets the eye when it comes to this challenge. Inspired by the Invisible Man himself, create your most clever, dastardly minimalist or “invisible” art. Don’t be afraid to play with negative space!

Hieroglyph-ink

Unearth something from deep within your creative mind. Inspired by the Mummy, we challenge you to design your own ancient Egyptian symbol or cursed glyph.

Bride of Frankenstylin’

Even Frankenstein’s Monster wanted his own honey … Inspired by the Bride of Frankenstein, stitch together an image of this iconic monster made out of food or candy pieces. It’s sure to be a scream!

Drawn Into the Abyss

Bring the Black Lagoon paradise to life. Inspired by the Creature from the Black Lagoon, design your own idyllic landscape that features a body of water — you must use only crayons to create this composition.
