Which Fictional Character Do You Share a Birthday With?

By Jasmine Edwards on Mar 18, 2026

Originally published March 18, 2026. This article lists popular fictional characters’ birthdays for every month of the year, and examines the similarities between those characters’ personalities.

Birthdays are momentous occasions! And if you’re reading this on your special day, happy birthday to you. Many happy returns, et cetera. And while you’re out celebrating your annual trip around the sun, perhaps you can extend the invitation to members of your favorite fandom. After all, many people know their celebrity birthday twin. But do you know which fictional characters share your special day?

Sadly, we can’t include most fantasy — or sci-fi — properties in our list. After all, Critical Role, The Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars all have their own date systems or fictional calendar conventions. But check out our list below to find a fictional character (or three) that blow out the candles for every single month of the year, from January through December.

January

  • Star Sign: Capricorn and Aquarius
  • Characters: Buffy Summers, Admiral

January babies are strong willed. Very often, they’re also strong physically. Resilient fighters, these characters do their best to enjoy life, even if that means getting in a few scraps along the way.

Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) – January 19

Buffy is technically a “cusp baby,” representing both the best and worst traits of her Zodiac signs. But we love Buffy for all her qualities, from her heroism to her (admittedly very small) list of faults. And those faults are mostly just her taste in emotionally repressed vampire boyfriends.

Admiral (Animal Crossing) – January 27

This cranky bird villager isn’t the nicest animal to encounter on your island. But mostly he likes to study flowers, bugs, fish, and fossils. Don’t disturb Admiral’s reading time and you two will be right as rain in this relaxing video game!

February

  • Star Sign: Aquarius and Pisces
  • Characters: Vivi, Superman

Characters born in February tend to be very brave and altruistic. Although they sometimes have to hide their identities for the greater good, they’re still very trustworthy. Most of them want to help others and are also self-sacrificing to a fault.

Nefertari Vivi/Miss Wednesday (One Piece) – February 2

Princess of Alabasta, Vivi is a kindhearted and intelligent ally to the Straw Hat Pirates. She values serving her people above all else.

Superman/Clark Kent (DC) – February 29

One of the world’s greatest heroes, Superman is the embodiment of what a super hero should be. But his double identity can often lead to trouble throughout Metropolis.

March

  • Star Sign: Pisces and Aries
  • Characters: Catwoman, Captain Kirk

Duplicity and cleverness shine in characters born in March. These characters are fine with bending the rules to serve their purposes, especially if they believe the rules are nonsensical or unfair. Overall, these characters crave peace and friendship or lasting family.

Selina Kyle/Catwoman (DC) – March 14

An infamous thief, Catwoman has become more of antihero these days in DC. She saves lives rather than steals. But her stubborn independence still causes rifts between her and the rest of the Batman Family.

Captain Kirk (Star Trek) – March 22

Captain Kirk of the U.S.S. Enterprise is a hopeless romantic who doesn’t always get along with Starfleet Command. But at his core, he wants to keep his crew safe and explore the stars. Fun fact: There’s even a plaque in the real-life Riverside, Iowa marking the town as the future birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk in the year 2228.

April

  • Star Sign: Aries and Taurus
  • Characters: Weasley twins, Bakugo, Inosuke

April characters can be chaotic. And if chaos is a spectrum, they can be anything from harmless pranksters to obnoxiously (or endearingly) aggressive. A lot of these characters function as comic relief for our heroes. However, their simmering rage can also get the best of them at times.

Fred and George Weasley (Harry Potter) – April 1

These beloved pranksters are identical twins. Intelligent and entertaining, they care deeply even while making fellow students’ lives extra difficult.

Katsuki Bakugo (My Hero Academia) – April 20

Bakugo is often at odds with our main hero. He is also, however, extremely sure of his path toward justice and heroism. That’s commendable in any context.

Inosuke Hashibira (Demon Slayer) – April 22

Nobody has quite as much energy as Inosuke! He is extremely odd, yet fiercely loyal throughout the series.

May

  • Star Sign: Taurus and Gemini
  • Characters: Kermit, Iron Man

You might be thinking … there’s absolutely nothing Kermit and Tony Stark have in common. And they are pretty different characters. But both are also witty jokesters with well-known wild sides. Kermit and Tony also want world peace, even if they have juxtaposing viewpoints on how to achieve it.

Kermit the Frog (The Muppets) – May 9

Grab a banjo and sing your heart out! This very green frog may not have it easy, but it’s very easy to love Kermit.

Tony Stark/Iron Man (Marvel) – May 29

He’s a billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, father, and Avenger. Iron Man’s brash attitude might not be for everyone. But this jerk with a heart of gold and hot-rod red is an essential addition to the MCU.

June

  • Star Sign: Gemini and Cancer
  • Characters: Eleven, Jason Voorhees, Usagi Tsukino

June birthday characters are community-driven — and can lash out aggressively if left alone and lonely. For the most part, these characters are powerful. They can even be frighteningly strong. Just like summer can easily excite or overpower us, so too can these characters.

Eleven/El/Jane Hopper (Stranger Things) – June 7

From scared little girl to world-saving woman, El has grown quite a bit throughout the series. But she’s always be a spitfire capable of taking down whole armies and Demogorgons with a flick of her wrist.

Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) – June 13

Jason’s birthday also marks his death — and sparks his mom’s killing spree. Friday the 13th is a spooky date, and the summer heat and camp atmosphere add a great ambiance to the classic horror movie.

Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon) – June 30

Embrace your power! Sweet and serious, and prone to melancholy, Usagi works hard to be great. Intensely emotional, intuitive, and nurturing, she embodies Cancer traits well.

July

  • Star Sign: Cancer and Leo
  • Characters: Captain America, Neville Longbottom, Harry Potter

July is for the hero types! From Avengers to wizards, these characters fight tyranny in all its forms. They protect the innocent, the undervalued, and the oppressed no matter the cost.

Steve Rogers/Captain America (Marvel) – July 4

Salute the Captain! Steve Rogers never let his weak body stop him from standing up for anyone getting bullied. Once he got the Super Soldier Serum, he could overpower bullies on all fronts.

Neville Longbottom (Harry Potter) – July 30

Neville is amazingly courageous. Born a day before the series’ protagonist, Neville could very easily have been the Chosen One — and besides his semi-bumbling behavior, he acts just like the hero we need.

Harry Potter (Harry Potter) – July 31

The Boy Who Lived has the most celebrated July birthday. So raise your wands and say “happee birthdae” every summer!

August

  • Star Sign: Leo and Virgo
  • Characters: Spider-Man, Pines twins

Characters born in August have sunny dispositions just like the month itself. They like to joke and play around. Yet they’re also likely to solve problems and give great advice (after getting themselves out of trouble).

Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Marvel) – August 10

Forever young, Spider-Man has an infectious energy that draws everyone to him. While it rubs people like J. Jonah Jameson the wrong way, Peter’s idealism mostly just inspires others to be the best versions of themselves.

Dipper and Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls) – August 31

The Pines twins are great friends who complement each other well, as most fictional twins do. They are both mystery solvers with a penchant for small amounts of mischief.

September

  • Star Sign: Virgo and Libra
  • Characters: Shion, Joel Miller

As the weather gets colder, so do these characters. While September-born characters are often altruistic, they can be gruff or standoffish. Shion is not at peace with his emotions, so he hides what he feels. Joel Miller, guarding a broken heart, does the same. Don’t let these characters turn into brittle shells of themselves!

Shion (No.6) – September 7

In the anime No.6, Shion risks his life to save a total stranger. What follows is a series of misfortunes than he adjusts to with some trepidation. Ultimately, however, Shion is open to seeing the world with different eyes as well as welcoming love into his life.

Joel Miller (The Last of Us) – September 26

Joel’s birthday is also Outbreak Day. So he doesn’t exactly like to celebrate the day zombies overran the world and his daughter died. But we can celebrate Joel on other days, too!

October

  • Star Sign: Libra and Scorpio
  • Characters: Hargreeves Family, Naruto, Mario brothers, Wei Wuxian

Here are our spooky birthdays. Costumed characters and demonic cultivators rule October. All their personalities vary, but one thing remains true across the board. These characters sure have style — and are always very dramatic.

Hargreeves Family (The Umbrella Academy) – October 1

43 super powered children were all born on the same day in 1989. Of those, 7 were brought to the Umbrella Academy. They were raised as siblings and trained to reach the peak of their abilities in the hopes of combatting global threats.

Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto) – October 10

Believe it! Naruto is annoyingly optimistic and entirely too rambunctious. Yet the young ninja also is serious exactly when it counts, and is driven to become a wise and charismatic leader.

Mario and Luigi (Nintendo) – October 11

Did you know that Mario and Luigi are twins? Well, you do now! According to Nintendo, these plumber brothers were born on October 11. Both Mario and Luigi are fun and silly. Luigi is always getting into trouble, though, and Mario is always getting him out of it.

Wei Wuxian (The Untamed/MDZS) – October 31

As a man capable of controlling ghosts and conjuring spirits, Wei Wuxian being born on Halloween just makes sense. His melodramatic yet chilly attitude also fits the final day of the month.

November

  • Star Sign: Scorpio and Sagittarius
  • Characters: Hello Kitty, Mickey Mouse

While there are other November birthdays, we thought it would be most fun to highlight these animated icons. Mascots of their respective franchises, they have a lot of responsibility resting on their little shoulders.

Hello Kitty (Sanrio) – November 1

She’s a little white cat with a bow … what’s there not to love? Surrounded by friends and family, Hello Kitty shows us how happiness comes with community.

Mickey Mouse (Disney) – November 18

Playful and proud, Mickey Mouse is the ultimate expression of Disney magic. The cartoon mouse will forever showcase the might and creativity behind Walt’s theme parks, movies, and more.

December

  • Star Sign: Sagittarius and Capricorn
  • Characters: Gojo, Levi

Let’s hear it for these beloved anime boyfriends! December boasts two of the hottest and strongest characters in action-adventure anime series. But where Levi is sullen, Gojo is a little more outgoing. You definitely want December characters as allies.

Satoru Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen) – December 7

From his piercing blue eyes to his giddy attitude, Gojo is truly an all-rounded for all anime fans. No, really — it’s been written.

Levi Ackerman (Attack on Titan) – December 25

Levi’s ruthless attacks and tragic backstory make him an ultimate fave for many. While his Christmas birthday seems at odds with his personality, we can always say he’s giving presents to the people by taking town Titans as a Scout Trooper.
