Who Plays Young Ahsoka in Ahsoka Episode 5?

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War

Ahsoka isn’t the first time Ariana has played the flashback version of a beloved adult hero. In Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War, Ariana Greenblatt plays young Gamora from the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. It is Ariana’s first credited onscreen role.

Gamora’s role in Infinity War is pivotal. The scenes with her younger self provide a vital window into her relationship with Thanos, and how Gamora grew up to be the conflicted woman who fights alongside the Guardians. Despite her youth, Ariana portrayed extreme emotional depth, vulnerability, and maturity in this movie. It’s no surprise, then, how it kickstarted her Hollywood career.

Ariana Greenblatt in Barbie

“Okay, Barbie. Let’s do this.”

Between Infinity War and now, Ariana also starred in Love and Monsters with Dylan O’Brien (Teen Wolf), Jessica Henwick (Game of Thrones, Iron Fist, The Matrix), and Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead, Guardians of the Galaxy). In a fun bit of career foreshadowing, Ariana also worked opposite Adam Driver (Kylo Ren™ in Star Wars) in the epic sci-fi film 65.

Most recently, however, you’ve seen Ariana dressed in all pink. Ariana plays a caustic teenager in Barbie who isn’t afraid to verbally eviscerate the plastic icon herself. Sasha is apathetic and highly critical of everything Barbie stands for — until she’s shown the bigger picture. Alongside her mom, played by America Ferrera, Sasha helps Margot Robbie’s Barbie bring the power of pink back to Barbie Land.
