Cubits are a fictional form of currency of the Twelve Colonies in Battlestar Galactica (1978), most often seen as wagers during games of Pyramid. The original props featured the Galactica seal on one side, with either a stylized “G” or “L” on the reverse — an inside reference to series creator Glen A. Larson. These replica cubits, copied directly from surviving original props, are cast in solid metal and finished with a durable electroplated coating.
Pyramid cards first appear in “Saga of a Star World,” when Starbuck’s winning hand is interrupted by the Galactica going to battle stations. The original artwork has been carefully recreated and printed on heavyweight, casino-grade linen-textured card stock for improved durability and handling.
