This figurine has a real presence amongst my collection due to the great colors and sheer height of it. I love cartoony sculpts and pinup art so this was a natural buy for me, anybody who follows Chris Sanders knows how much fun his art is and this piece perfectly captures it. Its even a hula girl! A classic for both pinups and Mr. Sanders art. A lot of figurines can have slipshod painting that detracts from the quality of the piece but for the most part this was done perfectly. She comes in two pieces: The Left Leg that is attached to the Base and the Rest of Her. The Key is nice and deep and even has a magnetic connection. The Sculpture itself is perfect.

That being said when I received mine there was a rather sizeable dent/tearthat went clean through the outer most box that went through to the inner collectible box and even a bit into the Styrofoam. Made sliding her out a bit of a task as it required some finessing for the collectible box not to act like a stop wedge for the styrofoam. Its not really a reflection on the quality of the product though so I really can't let if affect the Rating. But it will definitely affect the price if I ever try to resell her, people really care about the condition of the packaging of collectibles like this. That being said, I really hope that I have the chance to purchase more of Mr.Sander designed Figurines in the future.

I have the previous piece (Pumpkin Witch) in my Halloween/spooky display and she's a real centre piece, so I couldn't say no to Island Girl! I have her on display with Tiki related Lilo and Stitch pieces and she fits right in! Her expression, fluidity of the pose and colours are all striking. Even the box is a piece of art, with vibrant Chris Sanders illustrations on every side. Really looking forward to future releases!

I hope that Sideshow partners with Chris Sanders again in the future what a great statue! the details are awesome she's perfect sized and is now the hands down favorite of my island/hula girl collection.
