I love this so much, the detail is immaculate and looks just like in the movies, its high quality and beautiful.
Excellent!
Let me start by stating that I am very picky with almost every display item I have purchased. This statue is incredible in its details and quality. Not a single bit of damage or even common painting issues. The base is quite hefty and solid. I have zero complaints and would happily recommend this to any fan! What surprised me the most, the packaging. I expected it to be packaged well but every detail of the packaging was thought through and through. Toothless sits inside protective paper, covered by plastic, inside a large styrofoam casing and the stress points are padded with foam pads that are gentle enough on the finish but good enough to add on to the protection. All this is placed inside the display box and then in a thick shipping box. I opened for double boxing when ordering (I still will again) though I truly don’t think it’s necessary due to how well it was packaged. Thank you Sideshow for such an outstanding statue!
When I heard this statue was in the works I immediately pre-ordered it and waited a year and 2 month for it to arrive, and the wait was well worth it. It was a bit bigger then I was expecting which was nice, and the level of detail is fantastic as well, being a HTTYD fan that missed out on Sideshows first Toothless statue it made the agonizing wait for it 100% worth it. Though I’m only giving it four stars because when I got mine his tail was loose and actually fell off, for over $400 I expected that to be a bit better.
Overall I think it’s a great buy for the casual HTTYD fan who wants a centerpiece of their collection, and bonus points if you also got the whole set.
This statue is so beautiful, I was shocked opening up the box.
