Ross pays tribute to artist Mike Zeck’s original Secret Wars #1 (1984) cover from the epic Marvel Comics event that was the publisher’s first ever company-wide event. From every corner of the universe, X-Men, Avengers, and villains were drawn together and thrown into Battleworld for the amusement of the Beyonder. This epic comic book artwork shows sixteen of the event’s featured heroes leaping into action: Iron Man, the Hulk, Spider-Man, the Human Torch, Nightcrawler, Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau), Storm, The Thing, Colossus, Cyclops, Rogue, Captain America, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Wolverine, and the Wasp.
