A concept for a similar piece was brewing in my mind for quite some time, and when the Sideshow Team asked me to create my version of the Little Red Riding Hood story, it finally came to fruition.

 “Red” is about the strength we all possess, demonstrated by our heroine bravely facing the world around her head on. Though surrounded on all sides by a ravenous horde of werewolves, she rises above the chaos, dignified and victorious without judgement. She epitomizes that moment in one’s life wherein they realize that holding onto things will only create tension and frustration. When one lets go, energy can finally circulate through the body again. It’s that moment when we stop wanting. She looks upon the surrounding strife, but at this point she sees beyond it. Her robes break up and cleanse the darkness. She leaves her armor and weapons behind, the now useless pieces falling amongst the mass of monsters she has transcended. She emerges victorious, her heart calm and full of forgiveness. Her victory is the achievement of the soul.
