Overall I am happy with the sideshow ROTJ Darth Vader. The black shoulder piece came off out of the box but a dab of super glue and patience it’s back in place. The detail is very good and the light up chest and belt monitors are a nice touch. The wires for the battery connection are well hidden.

Just wow! This figure exceeded high expectations. It's amazing how detailed it is. Especially the little things like the etchings on his boots to give them a leather look. The suit and cape are phenomenal. It's extremely easy to switch his hands. I love that there are so many different hands, so that you can have him give so many iconic poses.
This figure was my first one. Received it Christmas of this year and I’ve acquired 4 Star Wars pieces since then. I slapped a Sandtrooper and Stormtrooper standing next to him and he is such an imposing figure. Anyway, about Vader himself- he is so well done. The hands they provide in the box really make this guy. And of course, his lightsaber is iconic and they nailed it. He towers over and of the other figures which just makes the realism come to life. Do not collect Star Wars figures if you’re not buying Vader!!
I've seen, In hand, the Hot Toys version but never saw Sideshow's revised version until today when I received him. Words cannot express how fantastic he looks. I can't say enough. The cape. Omg the cape! Usually 1/6 scale is hard to get weight and draping right but this is fantastic. Pictures do no justice. None. He is imposing. He commands your attention, and steals the show from my other Hot Toys And Sideshow figures. The lightsaber. Wow. Just wow. The pictures kind of look like cheap painting I could do myself. But the real thing is flawless. The ONLY way this figure could be better is a light up saber and fully detached helmet/face sculpt underneath like the previous version. But I believe, like the previous version, had they added all that at this price point it would have lacked attention to detail elsewhere as did the previous version. With that in mind: Perfection.
I guess my review won't show as "verified" since I got a better deal on ebay than on this website but, budget......regardless, I own him, and he is marvelous. I also ordered RotJ Luke, the Sideshow version and if he is even HALF of what Vader is in terms of quality, I can honestly say I'm addicted and possibly going to have to claim bankruptcy over this obsession!
