Limited to just 75 pieces, each hand-painted maquette in this special Legacy Edition will include a premium expanded plaque including a one-of-a-kind sketch, each hand-drawn by legendary ILM sculptor, Tony McVey.

The included 3 5/8” wide sketch comes beautifully matted within an 5”x7” frame that also houses a hand-numbered metal nameplate, hand-signed by McVey. That frame can either stand on a table top or hang on a wall.

McVey was part of the team that did concept work for the ILM creature shop on Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™. As part of his prequel work, he sculpted this concept for the Jar Jar Binks character. Tony’s also known for his work on Salacious Crumb™ and sculpting the first physical version of Grogu™ for The Mandalorian™.

This maquette was the first step in designing what would be an unprecedented and memorable digital character. With hands-on access to the original film artifact and high resolution 3D scanning, our team crafted a faithful recreation of the concept maquette for this iconic alien from the movie.

At approximately 7” tall (including the wood display base), each is cast in solid polyurethane resin. 100% made in the U.S.A., every replica in this edition is meticulously hand painted by the artists in Regal Robot's New York studio, making each a unique tribute to the artistry involved behind the scenes of our favorite films!
