This is pretty much the scale R2-D2 I've always wanted... the only one I've possibly loved more was the MPC kit from when I was 10 or 11 because it was my first one and I was a kid. I just wish it had all the attachments that came with the original issue several years ago. That one had five or six extension arm accessories including the cutting wheel... there are only 3 included with this kit. I wonder if the other attachments can be purchased separately from Sideshow? Or maybe someone makes resin replicas.

Fantastic model figure, the detail is excellent. The box and packaging is also 1st class.
This figure looks amazing, the paint application and weathering all make this figure stand out especially compared to its HT counterpart and couldn't be happier. Only issue I would say are the compartments opening too easily and the difficulty of the pieces on the head. One piece even got stuck for me which I know SS would replace but honestly it's not a deal breaker if not a perfectionist I still love mine and having him displayed is a blast pick it up if you want a fully detailed R2 but just be mindful of the minor nitpicks.
