I purchased C-3PO first, now, not getting R2D2 is like..... Is like having a Peanut Butter sandwich without the Jelly. R2 is a very dependable and very loyal droid, that one "MUST" have in their collection of Star Wars figures!! I love all the extra details that it came with, you can place it in any part of the saga. I highly recommend 10 out of 10
I LOVE my R2-D2!! This was an impulse buy of mine since I’m also getting the Luke Skywalker Deluxe 1/6 Scale Figure by Sideshow Collectibles so I figured that R2-D2 would make for a great companion piece to go with him!! I can’t wait to have them both on my shelf so I can be repping my favorite Star Wars film, Return of the Jedi!! 10/10 Highly Recommend!!
The figure itself is well detailed enough as far as the paint apps and accurate lights on the dome. There are also a lot of accessories included to give multiple display options even though I’ll display without them. There are a lot of compartments that open on R2 to accommodate the accessories and I’ve noticed that they’re a little loose but not an issue. The main issue I had was removing the dome to turn on the switch for the lights. After removing the dome, I wasn’t able to get it back on properly so it secures so at this point it’s just resting on the body. With the way I’ll display him, I’m not really that concerned about it. Could actually be better that way just so it’s easier to get to the lights. Overall for the price, I’d say it’s worth it just to have for your collection.
This droid can be displayed is so many ways!! I had some left over wood planks, and started making a display unit for it with the pictures of the movie behind it for context!!
I bought the deluxe R2-D2 on a whim and I'm totally glad I did. It's got so many incredible accessories. My favorite part is probably the lights that come on that are totally movie accurate!
