Ryu Battle Version
Ryu Battle Version
The only character to appear in every Street Fighter game and every crossover. Capcom’s unofficial mascot and ambassador for other media. The irrefutable star of the #1 fighting game in history. Sideshow and Pop Culture Shock Collectibles are proud to present the 1:3 scale statue of Ryu, one of the most recognizable and beloved characters in all of gaming.
With their signature level of artistry, Pop Culture Shock will depict Ryu in his three most indelible looks. Classic Ryu, the attire that’s become identifiable worldwide over the last three decades. Battle Ryu, his hardened, more mature Street Fighter V variant. And Evil Ryu, infected by the Satsui no Hado in an attempt to master the darker aspects of the fighting arts.

I am astounded by how incredible this looks in person. It's so impressively-sized and excellently painted. Usually with 1:3 scale, the piece ends up looking overly large, but the relatively conservative size of the base makes this a 1:3 scale that can be displayed more easily than those with more extravagant, outsized bases. Got an AP version. As usual with PCS pieces, the faces tend to look a little desaturated where we would expect to see more blood flow (nose, cheeks, ears), but the sculpt is so impressive, the face color doesn't take away from the overall impression. Usually not a huge fan of mixed media but the distressed/destroyed pants are SUCH a good touch. Great job, everybody!
