Captain Marvel Gets Home Release Date

Marvel Studios has announced the home release date for their record-breaking film Captain Marvel. The film will come with plenty of bonus material, including a gag reel, deleted scenes, and some behind the scenes visual development. Captain Marvel will hit digital on May 28th, and will soar onto Blu-ray on June 11th.


New Line Cinema Releases IT: Chapter 2 Teaser

New Line Cinema has released an official teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel IT: Chapter 2. The freaky footage shows the return of the horrifying clown Pennywise, tormenting the Losers Club 27 years after they first encountered the monstrous being. It: Chapter 2 will float into theaters on September 6th.

Netflix and Dark Horse Sign First-Look Deal

Netflix has signed an overall first-look deal with comic book publisher Dark Horse, the company behind their recent hit series The Umbrella Academy. The two companies also recently collaborated on the hitman film Polar starring Mads Mikkelsen. This deal with Dark Horse arrives shortly after Netflix completely cut ties with Marvel’s slate of original comic book dramas.


Female-Fronted Fast and Furious Spinoff

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures is developing a Fast and Furious spinoff film starring Charlize Theron. The film would see Theron return to her role as Cipher the cyberterrorist. There is no further film news at this time, but the first Fast and Furious spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, will open in theaters on August 1st.
