New Detective Pikachu Trailer Introduces Plenty of New Pokemon

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the second official trailer for its upcoming live-action and CGI. Hybrid film Detective Pikachu. The new footage introduces fans to even more fully-rendered Pokemon favorites, including Snorlax, Flareon, and Mewto. Eager fans can catch Detective Pikachu in theaters on May 10th.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen Cast as Candyman in Upcoming Remake

According to Variety, actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is in talks to star in Jordan Peele’s remake of Candyman. Abdul-Mateen is known for his recent work in Aquaman as well as in Netflix’s The Get Down. The Candyman remake is scheduled to open in theaters on June 12th, 2020.


Nathan Lane Joins Penny Dreadful: City of Angels Cast

Tony winner Nathan Lane has officially joined the cast of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels in a lead role. Lane will play Lewis Michener, a veteran officer of the LAPD, starring opposite Daniel Zovatto as Detective Vega, and Natalie Dormer as the demon Magda. Penny Dreadful: City of Angels has no premiere date on Showtime just yet.


Glenn Danzig Shares First Stills From Verotika Anthology Film

Musician Glenn Danzig has shared the first official images from his upcoming directorial debut Verotika. The anthology horror film is based on characters from his cult comic book company Verotik, and Danzig is writing, directing, and scoring the picture. The cast includes Ashley Wisdow, Scotch Hopkins, Alice Haig, and more. There is no release date set for Verotika just yet.
