DC Creating Television Commercials, Teen Titans Go! Movie Pokes Fun at Aquaman, and More!

DC Entertainment is currently working on a television commercial to promote Brian Michael Bendis’s upcoming Superman titles. Bendis, a newly-DC exclusive writer, tweeted his excitement over this type of promotion for comics. DC Entertainment recently aired a commercial for its Dark Nights: Metal series on networks like AMC, Syfy, and TNT.

Filmmaker Alan Taylor has signed on to direct New Line Cinema’s upcoming movie prequel to The Sopranos. Before transitioning to film work on Thor and Terminator Genisys, Taylor directed nine episodes of the landmark HBO series, as well as Game of Thrones, Mad Men, and Boardwalk Empire. There is no release date set for The Sopranos prequel just yet.

Warner Bros. Animation has released a new television spot for its upcoming film Teen Titans Go! To the Movies. The new teaser pokes fun at DC’s extended film universe, including the countless Batman films already produced as well as the upcoming Aquaman feature. Teen Titans Go! To the Movies opens in theaters on July 27th.

Amazon Prime Video has released a new promo for its upcoming reboot of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan starring John Krasinski. The teaser is set to audio of famous presidential speeches, while action hero Jack Ryan gets caught in the crossfire of a deadly gunfight. The 10-episode Jack Ryan series will begin streaming on Amazon on August 31st.
