The 90th Annual Academy Awards took place on Sunday, March 4th, celebrating the best in film of 2017. Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water swam ahead of the competition with four Oscar wins, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Production Design, and Best Original Score.

Blade Runner 2049 won Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects, while Disney’s Coco won Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Song. Other popular films of the night were Dunkirk and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

Disney debuted the first teaser for Mary Poppins Returns, the upcoming sequel to the original 1964 film. Set in 1930’s London, the film stars Emily Blunt as the practically perfect nanny, with Lin-Manuel Miranda as a lamplighter. Mary Poppins Returns opens in theaters on December 25th.

Netflix has officially released the titles of all 13 episodes for Thursday’s premiere of Jessica Jones Season 2. The titles, as well as directors and writers for each episode, were revealed with fake pulp novel covers, created by thirteen international comic book artists. Jessica Jones Season 2 begins streaming on Netflix on March 8th.

Netflix dropped the first promo for the sixth and final season of its original drama House of Cards. This teaser features star Robin Wright front and center as Claire Underwood, declaring that the action is just getting started. House of Cards returns in Fall 2018.

New Line Cinema has officially scheduled the release of its upcoming film The Kitchen. The mob drama will open in theaters on September 20th, 2019, and stars Tiffany Haddish and Melissa McCarthy. The Kitchen will adapt the Vertigo comic series in which a group of mob wives take over their husbands’ enterprise after the men are all arrested.
