Let Your Geek Sideshow presents… Then & Now– a pop culture podcast!

Whosoever listens to this podcast, if they be worthy, shall learn the storied history of Marvel’s very own God of Thunder, Thor. From mythology to monthly comics, the veritable viking Avenger has had a storied saga of monsters, mortals, and gods. It takes a special type of person to wield the mystical mallet Mjolnir, but as seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the hammer is not what makes someone a hero. What does it truly mean to be worthy?

No matter who you are, a god or a mortal, a frog or an alien, we all have worthiness within us. As seen throughout Thor’s time in comics, worthiness is a process, an ongoing ideal we must strive for. While we might not all be trying to avert Ragnarok or defeat invading frost giants, we can certainly learn something about ourselves from each Thor’s heroic journey.

Verily, Beyond Thor Odinson’s physical strength and warrior madness, it is the strength of his heart and desire to protect others that makes him a true god. His love for his friends both Asgardian and mortal fuels his fight to stay worthy of his own thunderous power each and every day.

Here comes the lightning and thunder! This is Marvel’s Thor Then & Now.
