NBC Teases Golden Globes 2019 Ceremony

NBC has released several new promo videos ahead of the 2019 Golden Globe Awards featuring hosts Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh. Known for their work on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Grey’ Anatomy respectively, both Samberg and Oh have won Golden Globes for past performances. The 2019 Golden Globes ceremony will air on January 6th on NBC.

New Captain Marvel Special Look to Air During College Football Championship

A new special feature on Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel is set to air during the upcoming 2018-2019 College Football Playoff National Championship game. The game between rivals Clemson and Alabama will air on ESPN on January 7th. Captain Marvel will open in theaters on March 8th.


Netflix Releases Punisher Season 2 Tease

Netflix has released a new teaser video for Marvel’s The Punisher Season 2. The clip features Frank Castle setting fire to a presidential pardon he received in Season 1, leaving behind ashes in the shape of his skull logo. The Punisher Season 2 currently has no premiere date, but will arrive on Netflix sometime in January.

Bruce Campbell to Host New Ripley’s Believe It or Not Series

Actor Bruce Campbell is officially hosting the revival of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! on the Travel Channel in 2019. The bizarre series is best known for keeping record of weird and incredible news, stories, stunts, and more. The new Ripley’s Believe It or Not! series does not yet have a television premiere date.


WWE Hall of Famer “Mean Gene” Passes Away

Let Your Geek Sideshow would like to acknowledge the life of legendary sports announcer Eugene Okerlund. Also known as “Mean” Gene, he was a member of the WWE Hall of Fame and was one of the most recognized voices in sports entertainment. He passed away this week at the age of 76.
