New Symbiotes in the Venom Movie Trailer, Doom Patrol Live-Action Casts Crazy Jane, and More!

Sony Pictures has released a new official trailer for its upcoming Spider-Man spinoff film Venom. This new trailer reveals the first look at Venom’s full body, as well as showing teases of the other symbiotes appearing in the film- including the villains Scream and Riot. Venom opens in theaters on October 5th.

Director Patty Jenkins has teased a first look at actor Pedro Pascal in Wonder Woman 1984. The image shows Pascal in a suit and tie, appearing on a television screen, although nothing else is known about his role at this time. Wonder Woman 1984 opens in theaters on November 1st, 2019.

Netflix has confirmed that Marvel’s Iron Fist Season 2 will only consist of 10 episodes when it debuts this fall. This is a departure from the 13-episode Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Luke Cage seasons 1 and 2, some of which were criticized for feeling too long and drawn out. Iron Fist Season 2 begins streaming September 7th.

Actress Diane Guerrero has just joined the cast of the Doom Patrol live-action series set to debut on the DC Universe streaming service. Guerrero will play Crazy Jane, a hero with 64 personalities that each manifest a different superpower. Doom Patrol will begin streaming on DC Universe in 2019.
