Stay InsideShow Pop Culture Picks – Day 11
Due to social distancing, many of us have found ourselves with more time inside than usual. Many of our schedules have changed, giving us the opportunity to try new things. As fans of pop culture ourselves, Sideshow’s Staff is happy to share a few suggestions to help you fill your newfound time with high quality content.
To help encourage everyone to Stay InsideShow, every day this week we will be recommending one film/series, one comic/book, one board game, and one video game that you can enjoy while you practice safe social distancing. These picks are the best of the best, curated and personally suggested by our very geeky staff.

The spin-off to Buffy the Vampire Slayer has serious legs of it’s own, bringing a much more adult story of a seek for redemption in a morally complicated world. While there are some cross-overs, this series is completely different from Buffy. The Passion of the Nerd also has incredible episode guides for this show and I can’t recommend them enough!
Pro tip: Watch Buffy seasons 1-3, then start Angel with Buffy season 4, watching one episode of Angel after an episode of Buffy so you’ll be watching it the way it originally aired. You’ll be rewarded by some fun little treats and appearances that way.

Sandman Slim by Richard Kadrey
James Stark is a magician who crawls his way back from hell to modern day Los Angeles, to hunt down and wreak vengeance on the folks who sent him there.
This book smells like whiskey and unfiltered cigarettes, and sounds like the loudest band you ever heard. I love it.

Snake Oil (3-10 Players)
If you’re a fan of party card games like Apples to Apples, What Do You Meme?, or even Cards Against Humanity, check out Snake Oil. Everyone has a handful of random object cards, which will get combined to make fabulous, flim-flam, miracle products that you need to hawk to the judge, who gets a persona card. Sell the head cheerleader your exciting new “Glitter Cannon” or offer a dog your revolutionary “Pizza Leash”. Whoever talks the best game and sells their product wins the round. Possibilities and laughter are limitless in this ridiculous game!

Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! – Nintendo Switch
Eevee is super cute and this game is addicting. Like, spend 48 hours doing nothing other than training your pokemon, addicting. You travel around, catch pokemon, battle others, defeat Team Rocket. It’s great.
Check out some of our recommendations, and as always don’t forget to Stay InsideShow!
