Stay InsideShow Pop Culture Picks – Day 23
Due to social distancing, many of us have found ourselves with more time inside than usual. Many of our schedules have changed, giving us the opportunity to try new things. As fans of pop culture ourselves, Sideshow’s Staff is happy to share a few suggestions to help you fill your newfound time with high quality content.
To help encourage everyone to Stay InsideShow, every day this week we will be recommending one film/series, one comic/book, one board game, and one video game that you can enjoy while you practice safe social distancing. These picks are the best of the best, curated and personally suggested by our very geeky staff.

Star Trek: Picard – CBS All Access
An intense and moving series reuniting us with one of the greatest of Starfleet’s Captains. Decades later, Picard is on a rescue mission with a new ship, new crew, and facing new dangers. I wish I could say anything else but…spoilers.

Dark Places by Gillian Flynn
Suspenseful and spooky. Dramatic. 7 year old Libby Day is the only survivor of her family after her brother brutally murders her mother and 2 sisters. Her testimony sends her brother to prison for life. 25 years later and Libby is strapped for cash and desperate to get her hands on more money by doing anything other than working. Fanatics pay her to investigate her own tragedy. She discovers that not everything is as it once seemed. OooooOOoooOOo.

Who do you think would win in a fight? The Iron Giant with acid balloons? Or a Yeti who is really good at parkour? In Superfight you’ll have to duke it out (verbally) yourself. It’s a hysterical party game that never loses its fun.

Fly in the House (PC)
This silly indie game can be found on Steam. You’re trapped in your house, but… what’s that buzzing? There’s a pesky fly in the house with you, and you need to use everything at your disposal (yes, even the precious furniture) to SQUASH THAT BUG. Hilarious and infuriating in equal measure. Killing the fly is truly a cathartic experience.
Check out some of our recommendations, and as always don’t forget to Stay InsideShow!
