Taika Waititi to Direct Thor 4

Taika Waititi is officially set to direct Thor 4. Waititi, who directed Thor: Ragnorak back in 2017, was planning to direct an adaptation of the Japanese manga Akira for Warner Bros, but his deal with Marvel will delay that movie further. There will likely be more news about Thor 4 at San Diego Comic-Con 2019.


Malcolm D. Lee Taking Over as Director of Space Jam 2

Malcolm D. Lee will be taking over as director of the upcoming Space Jam 2. Lee has already worked on quite a few hit comedies released by Warner Bros, such as Girls Trip and Night School. Space Jam 2 is set to release on July 16, 2021.


IDW Making Comic Book Adaptation of Stephen King and Owen King Novel Sleeping Beauties

San Diego-based publisher IDW will be making a comic book adaptation of the hit 2017 novel Sleeping Beauties written by Stephen King and Owen King. The 10 part comic-book series will tell the dark fantasy of the Aurora plague, and a world left entirely in the hands of savage men. The comic-book adaptation of Sleeping Beauties is slated for release in early 2020.


Netflix Releases Trailer for The Red Sea Diving Resort Film

Netflix released a trailer for its new movie titled The Red Sea Diving Resort. The movie, starring Chris Evans as Ari Levinson, tells the story of a group of international agents using a deserted resort in Sudan to smuggle refugees into Israel. The Red Sea Diving Resort will begin streaming on Netflix on July 31st, 2019.
