Tim Burton’s Wednesday Casting Update
Netflix shared major casting updates about the upcoming Addams Family spinoff series. They’ve added 10 additional actors to the series. The eight-episode show will follow her at the Nevermore Academy as she learns to deal with and master her emerging psychic ability, as well as her mission to thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town of Jericho and solve the supernatural mystery that eluded her parents 25 years ago.
Joy Sunday is set to play Bianca Barclay, one of Nevermore Academy’s most popular students. Bianca descends from a long line of sirens with a mesmerizing power to persuade. Emma Mysers will play Enid Sinclair, Wednesday’s sunny and colorful Californian roommate at Nevermore Academy. Enid hails from a pack of San Fransisco werewolves.
Hunter Doohan will play Tyler Galpin, a townie who strikes up an unlikely friendship with Wednesday. Tyler has a troubled relationship with his father, the local sheriff. Moosa Mostafa will play Eugene Otinger, one of Nevermore Academy’s quirkiest students and the president of the school’s bee-keeping club.
Georgie Farmer will play Ajax Petropolus, a student at Nevermore Academy who also happens to be a gorgon. He is awkward and shy, and anxious to look anyone in the eye. Naomi J. Ogawa will play Yoko Tanaka, a vampire with Harajuku-inspired goth flair, and one of the coolest kids at Nevermore.
Percy Hynes White plays Xavier Thorpe, a charismatic and supernaturally artistic student, who comes from wealth thanks to his celebrity psychic father. Jamie McShane will play Tyler Galpin’s father, Sheriff Donovan Galpin. He was born and bred in Jericho, and he’s always had an issue with Nevermore Academy and a vendetta against the former student Gomez Addams.
Thora Birch will play Tamara Novak, Wednesday’s dorm mother and a botanical enthusiast who is the only “normie” on staff at Nevermore Academy. Riki Lindhome will play Dr. Valerie Kinbott, a local therapist who takes a particular interest in her newest patient, Wednesday Addams.

While there have been other Addams Family spinoffs in the past, including an animated film and its sequel, this is the first live-action spinoff that focuses primarily on Wednesday. These 10 new cast members will be joining the previously announced cast of the show. Jenna Ortega will be playing the titular role of Wednesday Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones will be playing Morticia Addams, and Luis Guzmán will play Gomez Addams.
Wednesday is set to debut on Netflix some time in 2022.
