John Boyega is preparing to fight Kaiju in Pacific Rim 2!
Who will he be Drift compatible with, we wonder.
Deadline is reporting that John Boyega will be joining Pacific Rim 2 as the son of Idris Elba’s character Marshall Stacker Pentecost.
Boyega himself confirmed the new via Twitter along with the fact that he’ll be co-producing the film under his production company Upper Room Films and partner Femi Oguns.

Pacific Rim creator Guillermo Del Toro had this to say.
“I am very proud and happy to welcome John into a fantastic sandbox. The Pacific Rim universe will be reinforced with him as a leading man as it continues to be a multicultural, multi-layered world. ‘The World saving the world’ was our goal and I couldn’t think of a better man for the job.”
Boyega has been to a galaxy far, far, away and now he’s about to enter The Drift.
