Vertigo Remake with RDJ

According to Deadline, Paramount is set to create a remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1958 film Vertigo. Currently, Robert Downey Jr. is in talks to lead the film. He’d play “the former police detective forced to retire after a line of duty trauma that leaves him with fear of heights and vertigo.” Steven Knight, who was just brought on to write a Star Wars™ film, will also be writing for this project.


Jedi Kelleran Beq Poster

Lucasfilm shared a new poster for Star Wars: The Mandalorian™. The poster features Jedi Kelleran Beq™, played by Ahmed Best, known for his portrayal of Jar Jar Binks™ in the prequel series. Chapter 20 of The Mandalorian is on Disney+ now.


Jimin’s New Album

BTS member Jimin has released his debut solo album. The album, titled FACE, includes five tracks that explore themes of loneliness and self-expression. FACE is available on all major streaming platforms now.

Stephen Knight’s Star Wars Film

According to Variety, Stephen Knight is now set to write a screenplay for a new Star Wars™ film. Knight is known for creating Peaky Blinders. The original writers, Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson, have left the project. Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, known for working on Ms. Marvel, is still set to direct.

James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy

WB Discovery and DC Comics are set to make a new movie Superman: Legacy, the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. James Gunn himself confirmed that he’ll be directing the picture. This film will be the first release in the new DC Multiverse, that Gunn and Peter Safran are launching together called “Chapter One, Gods & Monsters”. Superman: Legacy will fly into theaters on July 11, 2025.

Shadow and Bone Season 2 Premiere

Shadow and Bone season 2 premieres today. As Kirigan grows more powerful, Alina sets off to find the two mythological amplifiers that can help her unite her country and defeat him. All eight episodes of Shadow and Bone are on Netflix now.


Spider-Man 2099 New Photo

In an interview with Empire, Into the Spider-Verse co-director Chris Miller shared an update about the sequel. He said the film, “shows you worlds you haven’t seen, and it’s an emotional story that ends in a place where you need to see the third one.” The article also included a new photo of Spider-Man 2099 fighting the Vulture of the future. Willow Canceled

She is the first Asian actress to win the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Everything Everywhere All at Once. The film itself also received the Academy Award for Best Picture. Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert won Best Directing as well as Best Original Screenplay for the picture. Ke Huy Quan won Best Actor in a Supporting Role and Jamie Lee Curtis won Best Supporting Actress for their roles in the film. Paul Rogers won Best Editing. In total, Everything Everywhere All at Once received 7 Academy Awards.

Ruth E. Carter Makes History

Ruth E. Carter has also made history, becoming the first Black woman to ever receive two Oscars. This year she won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design in Marvel‘s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever after first winning in 2018 for Black Panther.


Guillermo del Toro Makes History

Avatar 2 Wins Academy Award
