PAC-MAN Live-Action Film

Bandai Namco Entertainment and Wayfarer Studios are set to collaborate on a new live-action video game adaptation. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the companies are set to create a PAC-MAN film inspired by the classic arcade game. There is no further news about PAC-MAN at this time.


Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Update

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has officially received a new release date. The announcement was made with a gif of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles standing side by side, ready to fight. They’ll run faster, fly higher, and punch harder when Sonic the Hedgehog 3 sprints into theaters on December 20, 2024.


DC Comics’ Constantine Film

Ever since the merger of WB and Discovery, many projects have been canceled, most notably, DC Comics’ Batgirl film. In the following weeks, multiple sources have claimed that some projects are still moving forward. Sony and Capcom shared a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming game Street Fighter 6. The gameplay shows off the classic character Juri and introduces Kimberly, a spunky new ninja with unique spray paint style. You’ll be able to play as Kimberly and Juri when Street Fighter 6 debuts some time in 2023.

Netflix released the first official trailer for new episodes of The Cuphead Show! The trailer shows Mugman and Cuphead getting arrested, but they’re invited back out for another adventure with Chalice. Only the finest demons will seek the adventurous bunch when new episodes of The Cuphead Show! premieres on Netflix on August 19.


DC Comics’ The Penguin Series Update

Lady Gaga Joins Joker 2

Lady Gaga is set to join Joaquin Phoenix in DC Comics‘ Joker sequel. The announcement was made with a video that introduces Lady Gaga’s silhouetted character dancing with The Joker, as an instrumental version of the classic jazz song “Cheek to Cheek” plays along with The Joker’s iconic laugh. While unconfirmed, fans and news sources are speculating that Lady Gaga will play the fan-favorite character Harley Quinn. Joker: Folie à Deux will hit theaters on October 4, 2024.


The Sandman Premiere

The Sandman premieres today. The story will follow Dream of The Endless, the master of all dreams and nightmares, as he is stripped of his power, and fighting for balance once more. The series is based on Neil Gaiman’s graphic novel series of the same name. The Sandman is on Netflix now.


Prey Premiere

The Predator prequel premieres today. The film will follow “a skilled Comanche warrior protect[ing] her tribe from a highly evolved alien predator that hunts humans for sport, fighting against wilderness, dangerous colonizers and this mysterious creature to keep her people safe.” Prey is on Hulu now.


Stranger Things S5 Update

WB Discovery has recently canceled their upcoming release of the DC Comics film Batgirl. And while many other films seem up in they air, they have confirmed the release date for the sequel to Todd Phillips’ Joker. According to DeadlineJoker: Folie á Deux will hit theaters on October 4, 2024.

Ironheart Casts Shea Couleé

Marvel has brought on another to the cast of their upcoming series Ironheart. According to DeadlineRuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 5 winner Shea Couleé will be joining in an undisclosed role. Ironheart is set to fly onto Disney+ in 2023, and make her MCU debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on November 11.


The Sandman Introduces Mervyn Pumpkinhead




Netflix shared a new clip from the upcoming series The Sandman. The clip introduces Mark Hamill’s (Luke Skywalker™ in Star Wars™, The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series) character Mervyn Pumpkinhead, who tells Morpheus that something is wrong in the realm called The Dreaming. The Sandman premieres on Netflix on August 5.


Madame Web Casts Zosia Mamet

Sony has brought on one more to the cast of their upcoming Spider-Man Universe film, Madame Web. According to Deadline, they’ve cast Zosia Mamet, known for her role as Annie in The Flight Attendant. Her role is currently unknown. Madame Web is set to swing into theaters on October 6, 2023.

DC’s Batgirl Film Canceled

Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. has decided to cancel the upcoming Batgirl film. The film had already completed production, and was originally set to be released exclusively on HBO Max. Now, however, the project will neither debut on the streaming service nor in theaters. The project was originally set to star Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon, Brandon Fraser as Firefly, J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man‘s J. Jonah Jameson), and Michael Keaton’s Batman.

The Sandman New Photo

Neil Gaiman shared new character photos from the upcoming season of Netflix’s The Sandman. The photos introduce Ernest Kingsley Junior and Deborah Oyelade as Morpheus and Nada respectively. Queen Nada and her people knew the entity of Dream by the name of Kai’ckul, and it is through that name and perception of Morpheus himself that changes his appearance. In the comics, Nada and Morpheus were deeply in love, but Morpheus was arrogant and egotistical, and feeling rejected, he banished her to Hell. The Sandman will premiere on Netflix on August 5.


Prey Poster

Hulu shared new posters for their upcoming film Prey. The posters show cave drawings of a warrior fighting a Predator, one with the word “Ku̵htaamia” in red. “Ku̵htaamia” is a Comanche word representing a hero’s rite of passage. Prey premieres on Hulu on August 5.


Gotham Knights First 16 Minutes




WB Games Montreal and DC Comics shared the first 16 minutes of their upcoming game Gotham Knights. The first 16 minutes introduce some of the gameplay elements, quite a few of the characters, and the dangerous state of Gotham City. Gotham Knights will premiere on October 25.

Lucasfilm released a new poster for their upcoming series Star Wars: Andor™. The poster features an illustrated collage of the characters while TIE fighters™ chase after Rebel ships. The three-episode premiere of Andor will fly onto Disney+ on September 21.


Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania Poster

Artist Andy Park shared the first official look at the character designs for Marvel‘s Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. The poster officially introduces a comics-accurate Kang the Conquerer, and teases Cassie Lang’s purple suit as she joins the team. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will hit theaters on Febuary 17, 2023.

Pugh is set to play Princess Irulan, the daughter of Emperor Shaddam IV. They also confirmed that Chukwudi Iwuji (Murn in Peacemaker) will be joining the film as the High Evolutionary, a powerful being intent on genetically engineering other creatures to reach their full potential, for better or for worse. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will fly into theaters on May 5, 2023.


Star Wars: The Acolyte Casts Amandla Stenberg

Star Wars™ announced the lead of their upcoming series The Acolyte™. They shared a picture of Amandla Stenberg next to R2-D2™ with a picture of Darth Maul™ on her shirt. Destin Daniel Cretton to Direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty

During San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige shared a major update about the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He confirmed that the next Avengers film, set to cap off Phase 6 of the MCU, will be titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. That film will be followed up with a long anticipated adaptation of a massive comic book event called Avengers: Secret Wars.

And according to The Hollywood Reporter, the first film already has a director. Reportedly, Destin Daniel Cretton, known for directing Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will be directing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. The next Avengers film will premiere in theaters on May 2, 2025. Avengers: Secret Wars will collide into theaters on November 7, 2025.


Rick and Morty Season 6 Premiere

Adult Swim announced the release date for the sixth season of Rick and Morty. They shared the announcement with a photo of the titular characters sporting six packs, with the caption, “Ripped and ready.” Rick and Morty‘s sixth season will premiere on Adult Swim on September 4.


Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio




Netflix released the first official teaser trailer for Guillermo del Toro‘s stop-motion animation adaptation of Pinocchio. The teaser introduces the wooden boy with the borrowed soul, and features some of the cast, from Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi™ in Star Wars™) to Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), and others. Pinocchio will come to life on Netflix this December.
