Star Trek Series Renewals

Paramount+ has renewed new seasons for a variety of Star Trek shows. Star Trek: Discovery has been renewed for a fifth season, Star Trek: Lower Decks has been renewed for a fourth season, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has been renewed for season 2 even before season 1’s premiere.


Peacemaker Episode 4

HBO Max released a new episode of DC Comics‘ Peacemaker. The episode shows how the black ops team deals with Nhut Le’s Judomaster and reveals the true dangers of Peacemaker’s father, the White Dragon. The fourth episode of Peacemaker is on HBO Max now.


The Boys Presents: Diabolical First Look




Amazon shared a first look at their upcoming animated spinoff series of The Boys. The first look introduces Laser Baby, and shows how an innocent little child with powers can already cause so much chaos. The Boys Presents: Diabolical premieres on Amazon Prime on March 4.


LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga




WB Games released the gameplay overview and the release date for the LEGO® Star WarsThe Skywalker Saga video game. The trailer shares all sorts of gameplay from the new combat mechanics to the characters you get to play and the planets you get to explore. LEGO® Star WarsThe Skywalker Saga debuts on April 5, 2022.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power

Amazon revealed the official title of The Lord of the Rings series. The narrator tells us that there were three rings made for the Elven-kings, seven for the Dwarf-lords, nine for mortal Men, and one ring to rule them all for the Dark Lord. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power premieres on Amazon Prime on September 2, 2022.


Moon Knight Poster

Along with its first official trailer, Marvel shared a poster for their upcoming series Moon Knight. The poster shows the titular character gripping his iconic weapon, a bloodied crescent moon-shaped dart. Moon Knight will rise onto Disney+ on March 30.


The Cuphead Show! Official Trailer




Netflix shared their first official trailer for the animated adaptation of the popular video game Cuphead. The trailer introduces the brothers Cuphead and Mugman getting bored of chores, and being drawn into the world of adventures and big bad villains, all in a classically animated style. The Cuphead Show! will pour onto Netflix on February 18.


Book of Boba Fett Chapter 4

Star Wars™ released a new episode of The Book of Boba Fett™. We’ll follow Daimyo Boba Fett™ as he struggles to maintain his power over Jabba the Hutt‘s™ old criminal empire. Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 4 is on Disney+ now.

Marvel released a trailer for their upcoming series Moon Knight. The trailer gives us a closer look at the broken mind of Marc Spector, the man beneath the Moon Knight mask. Moon Knight will premiere on Disney+ on March 30, 2022.


Marvel’s Werewolf by Night Halloween Special Casting

According to Deadline, Laura Donnelly is set to join the MCU. She’s been cast in a currently undisclosed role in Marvel’s Werewolf by Night Halloween special. There is no release date for Werewolf by Night at this time.


Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett™ Posters

Star Wars™ released new character posters from Chapter 3 of The Book of Boba Fett™. The posters give us a closer look at Danny Trejo’s new character, the trainer and keeper of the rancor™. We also get a poster of the street gang leaders who Boba Fett™ recruits. The first three chapters of The Book of Boba Fett are on Disney+ now.


Real Steel Series at Disney+

Disney+ is set to develop a series based on the 2011 film Real Steel. The film followed ex-boxer Charlie Kenton, played by Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) teaming up with his son Max to build and train a championship robot made out of scrap metal. The original director of the film, Shawn Levy, is set to helm the project.

Marvel released a teaser to the trailer for their upcoming series Moon Knight, starring Oscar Isaac (Star Wars™). The teaser shows Marc Spector’s chaos bursting from him and wrapping him in Moon Knight’s robes. We’ll see the Moon Knight trailer tonight during the NFL Super Wild Card Matchup on ESPN.


New Arrowverse Series: Justice U

Actor and director David Ramsey is set to star in a new Arrowverse series called Justice U. Ramsey will reprise his role as John Diggle. After years of fighting alongside masked heroes, Diggle embarks on a new mission to recruit five young meta humans to live undercover as freshmen at a prestigious university. There he will oversee their education and train them to become the heroes of tomorrow.


Captain Marvel Sequel Gets Composer

According to VarietyWhat If…? and Lovecraft Country composer Laura Karpman has joined the MCU. She’s been brought on to score The Marvels, the sequel to Captain Marvel. The Marvels will fly into theaters on February 17, 2023.


Batgirl Casting

According to The Hollywood Reporter, three more actors have been brought on for DC Comics‘ Batgirl film. Rebecca Front, Corey Johnson, and Ethan Kai have joined the cast in undisclosed roles. There is no release date for Batgirl at this time.

The new Scream film debuts today. Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders, a new killer dons the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. Scream is in theaters now.


The Batman Villain Posters

WB released two new character posters from Matt Reeves’ The Batman. The posters show The Penguin in a blue plaid suit and The Riddler in a moss green jacket and full-faced mask with glasses. DC ComicsThe Batman will glide into theaters on March 4.


The Boys Season 3 New Photo

Amazon shared a new photo from season 3 of The Boys giving us a new look at Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy. The photo shows Soldier Boy standing in the aftermath of a decimated building. Season 3 of The Boys will shoot onto Amazon Prime on June 3.


The Adam Project New Photo

USA Today shared a new photo from The Adam Project, starring Ryan Reynolds (Marvel‘s Deadpool). The photo shows Adam will his 12-year-old self with a flashlight walking through the forest. The Adam Project will time travel onto Netflix on March 11.

Peacemaker is premiering today. The series, based on the DC Comics character explored in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, follows the antihero’s undercover operation fighting for justice. Peacemaker is on HBO Max now.


Clerks III Photo

USA Today shared a new photo from Kevin Smith‘s Clerks III. The photo shows Randall after his massive heart attack, and the former co-workers that he’s brought back to make a movie about his convenience store life. Clerks III will open in theaters some time in 2022.


Scream Photo

USA Today also shared a new photo from Paramount’s upcoming horror film Scream. The photo gives us a chilling look at the masked murderer, wearing the iconic Ghostface costume with knife in hand. Scream will slice into theaters on January 14.

Netflix released an interactive map and library for their fantasy series The Witcher. The trailer for the interactive map prompts fans to explore the Continent and its many mysteries in a completely brand new way. The Witcher‘s interactive map is live now.

Ed Brubaker Joins Batman: Caped Crusader

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Eisner award-winning writer Ed Brubaker is set to serve as head writer and executive producer for DC ComicsBatman: Caped Crusader animated series. He’ll be joining Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, and James Tucker on the project. The series is described as a “reimagining of the Batman mythology” that will “reinvent Batman and his iconic rogues gallery with sophisticated storytelling, nuanced characters and intense action sequences all set in a visually striking world.”

Naomi Crossover Update

Ava DuVernay shared an update about The CW’s upcoming series Naomi. She confirmed that even though the series is based off of DC Comics, like the rest of the Arrowverse, there will not be any Arrowverse crossovers in the first season of the show. Naomi premieres on The CW on January 11.


Scott Pilgrim Anime Adaptation

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix is set to make an anime series adaptation of the comic book series Scott Pilgrim. Bryan Lee O’Malley, Pilgrim’s original artist-creator, is set to write and executive produce the series alongside BenDavid Grabinski. There is no further news about the Scott Pilgrim anime at this time.


Turning Red Straight To Disney+

Disney and Pixar‘s upcoming animated film, Turning Red, is set to skip its theatrical debut and premiere directly on Disney+. The film will not require Disney+’s Premier Access. Turning Red will premiere on Disney+ on March 11.


X-Men’s New Team Member

Marvel is asking fans to vote for a new team member for one of their upcoming X-Men comics. Fans can choose from a roster that includes: Armor, Surge, Avalanche, Siryn, Firestar, Penance, and others. The polls are open now.
