David Palumbo
David Palumbo is the son of science fiction scholar Donald Palumbo and renowned fantasy illustrator Julie Bell, and stepson of fantasy illustrator Boris Vallejo. As a freelance illustrator, Palumbo has provided genre themed artwork for everything from book covers and collectible card games to advertisements and concept design. His work has received multiple honors including several Spectrum medals and a Chesley award and has shown in galleries and exhibitions from New York to Paris.
David Palumbo provided key horror art for Sideshow's original dark fantasy property Court of the Dead. Focusing on the Factions of Spirit, Flesh, and Bone, he created rich, colorful, and ominous portraits of characters Kier, Gethsemoni, and Xiall. The blend of fantasy artwork elements and chilling life in the underworld resulted in memorable designs that were featured as Sideshow Art Prints and in official Court of the Dead book and calendar publications. Some of his other clients have included Blizzard, Wizards of the Coast, Scholastic, Dark Horse Comics, Marvel Entertainment, and more.Artist Catalog
