Frank Frazetta

About the Artist:
Frank Frazetta, born on the 9th day of February 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, discovered the wonders of drawing at a very young age. Throughout his lifetime, he had created some of the most iconic pieces of fantasy art and continues to inspire people even today.
About the Frazetta Art Museum:
Located at 141 Museum Lane East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, the Frazetta Art Museum is home to the largest collection of Frazetta originals in the world. Reopened solely by Frank Frazetta Jr in 2013, the museum houses roughly 37 original oil pieces and countless pencil, pen and ink, and watercolor works. Among the paintings are famous works such as Death Dealer III, The Indomitable, Cat Girl, and Silver Warrior. Also in the museum are more rare pieces such as the left-handed paintings Frank created after his 8th stroke, and Reign of Wizardry, a piece that was never published in its final form until only recently.
The museum resides on the original 67-acre estate in the heart of the Pocono mountains where Frank and Ellie raised their four children. This is where Frank created his most iconic paintings dating all the way back to 1971 when the estate was originally purchased. The museum is unique in that the family still runs it and are more than happy to visit with guests and talk about Frank, Ellie, and their legacy.
