Heonhwa Choe
Heonhwa Choe is an illustrator from South Korea. He majored in Visual Design and after graduation, began his career as an animator for a TV 3D animation company. He later worked for NCSoft, a game company, to direct 3D animation for games. Throughout his career, he continued to practice digital painting in his spare time, and gradually found he preferred painting to his work in 3D.
So in 2012, he quit his job and started his career in illustration. His work drew influence from Japanese game art and fantasy worlds, and over time, he gradually developed his own unique style. Since then he has worked as a freelance illustrator for such companies as Riot Games, Valve, and Cygames. Currently he is also doing illustration work for Magic: the Gathering with Wizards of the Coast.
