Aaron McNaught & Chie Izuma — Jumping the Shark! A Custom Art Show

By Sideshow on Sep 1, 2025

Mecha Shark by Aaron and Chie Izuma McNaught

Mecha Shark is inspired by the vintage toy style of Japan in the 1960s and the 1970s. We focused on a blend of Godzilla soft vinyl figures mixed with giant robot figures from Shogun Warriors.

Sink Your Teeth Into Even More from Jumping the Shark!

Jumping the Shark! A Custom Art Show features the works of approximately 30 artists — from the Sideshow studio and around the world — showcasing their unique, one-of-a-kind visions for the same 28” resin great white shark “blank” base figure.

Victims of their own outsized reputation, many iconic species of shark are in danger of extinction. In honor of the completed works, a donation will be made to the Shark Allies marine life charity for the preservation of these magnificent creatures, so that generations of artists can enjoy their thrilling, prehistoric beauty for decades to come.
