Everything We Know from the Avengers: Doomsday Thor Trailer
A storm is coming! Ahead of the highly anticipated MCU Phase Six film, Marvel has released the second official Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer — this time featuring the God of Thunder, Thor Odinson. This new teaser follows the first, a confirmation that Chris Evans is returning for Doomsday as Steve Rogers, AKA the first Captain America.

What is Avengers: Doomsday about?
The upcoming Marvel movie will be directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. It is the fifth installment in the Avengers movie series, following Avengers: Endgame — which the Russos also directed, along with Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Thor’s costume and mannerisms in the new trailer are greatly aligned with his first cinematic appearance as well as Infinity War, leaving behind some of the lighthearted elements of his last two solo movies.
At this time, very few plot details are known. However, in terms of continuity, Doomsday ties in to the events of Thunderbolts* as well as The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Doomsday is likely quite the Multiverse-altering event, and will have a direct sequel in Secret Wars (set to release in December 2027). Based on the first two teasers, we can ascertain that the Avengers have separated and retired post Endgame. Yet Thor and Steve Rogers both have children to protect when a new threat — presumably Doctor Doom himself — emerges.
