Smart Shopping: Why You Should Create a Sideshow Wish List

No one wants to be scrambling for last-minute gifts, so this holiday season, it’s best to get your shopping — and shipping — done early.

Using our “Sideshow Wish List” and “Drop a Hint” functions, you can build personalized and strategized Wish Lists, shopping lists, and more.

With the Wish List, you can assemble your ideal Avengers collection, unite the Justice League on your shelf, or bring Hogwarts home with Harry Potter collectibles, and then share that list with friends, family, followers, partners, and coworkers. It’s the perfect way to let the people in your life know how to celebrate you for the holidays.

So, how does the Wish List work?

Create your Sideshow Wish List

First, you will need a Sideshow.com account, which also allows you to access 5% in Rewards on purchases, flexible payment plans, and more. Once signed into your account, you will be able to add any item on our website to your own personal account Wish List.

You can create a Wish List through your Account Page or by adding items to a new Wish List. On your Account Page, navigate to the Wish List section and click the green plus sign icon, pictured below. Then name your list and hit “Create List.”

To create a list through adding items, simply look to the information sidebar on the product page you want to save, and then hit the “Add to Wish List” button. You can also add items to your Wish List with the heart icon next to the product name on any browsing page.

From there, you will see the option to add the item to a Wish List that is saved on your account. You can move items between lists. You can even make multiple personalized Wish Lists with unique names to keep your Star Wars™ separate from your Star Trek, or your heroes apart from your villains. Get as specific as you want — this is YOUR Wish List!

Once you’ve done that, you can visit your account page and set your lists to private (for your eyes only) or public (which can be shared with friends and family). The power is entirely in your hands!

Wish List Search

Trying to find your friends’ Wish Lists for gift giving ideas? You can now search for public Wish Lists made with a Sideshow account by visiting sideshow.com/wishlist/search or by clicking HERE.

Simply enter the email address of your intended recipient to pull up any of their publicly visible Wish Lists. From there, you can gift them one of their wants with a purchase — how sweet of you!

Drop a Hint

Browsing our website, you come across the perfect addition to your collection … but how do you let your family and friends know where to find it? That’s where dropping a hint comes in.

This function allows you to directly send some gentle encouragement to your loved ones with all the details for the exact item you want, even without being logged in to a Sideshow account. Let us do the rest of the nudging, winking, and persuading for you.

Navigate to the information sidebar on any product page on our site, locate the “Drop a Hint” button just under the “Add to Wish List” button, fill out the form (which asks for the name and email address of the message recipient, as well as your name and email address, along with an optional custom message), and you’re done!

Wish List Alerts

Our newest Wish List feature is making more waves than Aquaman! If you have an item on any of your Wish Lists, we’ll send you an update when the product switches from pre-order to in-stock, gets discounted, or even when it comes back into stock.

These alerts will come to you via email, so make sure the address on your account is correct.
