Just ahead of the worldwide release, Sideshow’s newest UNBOXING VIDEO gives fans an up-close look at Hot Toys’ latest sixth scale figure: the Tony Stark (Mech Test Version), inspired by Tony’s trials in Iron Man.

Take a closer look at everything from the figure packaging to the range of articulation and variety of accessories included in this highly anticipated release with the unboxing video below.

Unboxing the Figure

The movie-accurate Tony Stark (Mech Test Version) Sixth Scale Figure is remarkably detailed and meticulously crafted based on the image of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in Iron Man. This Hot Toys Marvel collectible figure features a head sculpt with stunning likeness, plus LED light-up functions on the arc reactor on his chest. Additional costume details include Tony’s prototype repulsors on his palms and legs, a metallic painted gauntlet, and leg armor that displays his complex mechanical design.

For added screen accuracy, mechanical wires stretch around the upper body and a finely crafted casual outfit. To complete the scene, a diamond-shaped dynamic figure stand and a matching backdrop allow collectors to recreate Tony Stark’s workshop setting where he put the prototype armors in a memorable flight test.

Tony Stark, Iron Man

Okay, we’re going to start off nice and easy. In three … two … one …

After spending time as a hostage, Tony Stark decides to remake the armor that aided his escape. He also needs to protect the arc reactor on his chest, which keeps his heart beating. Thus he begins his mechanical tests for what would later become the first Iron Man suit.
