Gift Guide for Fans of DC’s Elseworlds Books

In 1989, DC Comics wanted to tell stories that were outside of traditional continuity comics. That way, they could explore alternate versions of characters whom we know and love. Thus the Elseworlds imprint began. Sometimes, those alternate versions would have only one slight difference. Other times, like with Superman: Red Son or Gotham by Gaslight, writers made major changes through time and space.

These days, Elseworlds means so much more. The DCU has multiple Elseworlds projects, like Todd Phillips’ Joker, the Harley Quinn animated series, and so much more! Plus, at NYCC 2023, DC announced the imprint would be returning with six more Elseworlds titles!
