Sideshow’s MerMay 2022: Event Overview and Schedule

Fairytale fans, get ready for a magical day! On Friday, May 20, 2022, Sideshow is celebrating MerMay. This event honors mermaids, sirens, and other fantastical sea creatures. Plus, look out for collectibles highlighting classic characters such as Ariel and Ursula, Adrianna Vanderstelt’s original fantasy artwork, Olivia’s latest Bettie Page pinup, and even Mike Mahle’s more sinister Project Poseidon.

Giveaways

There will be giveaways going on across our official social platforms as well as in Sideshow’s official Facebook groups. To help bolster your chances to win, you should follow Sideshow’s official pages and channels, click those notification bells to be alerted when we post, and keep an eye out for when we go live.

Social Media Giveaways

There are two different types of social media giveaways.

Flash Giveaways are quick 15-minute contests held on Sideshow’s official social media accounts. You will have only 15 minutes to follow the prompt given on the social post, and a winner will be selected from qualifying entries.

Giveaway Challenges are contests held on the Crowdpurr platform at sideshow.live. A social media post will go live directing you to Crowdpurr with a special hashtag and access code. Once the contest begins, you will have 30 minutes to complete the challenge described and submit your entry. A winner will be selected from qualifying entries, and all entries have the potential to be showcased in Sideshow’s wrap-up livestreams and blogs.

Website Giveaways

Sideshow hosts giveaways every single week on our website. Check out our Contests & Giveaways Page for more information, and check back on Friday, May 20 for a MerMay themed prize: a chance to win the Mermaid’s Ruin Polystone Statue by Mighty Jaxx. This giveaway closes at 11:59 PM PDT on May 20th, so act fast if you want to enter!

Fans can also find a giveaway opportunity for Bettie Page: Carousel, the latest stunning pinup print by artist Olivia De Berardinis. This giveaway is open until 9:00 AM PDT on Friday, May 27th. The print will also be available for pre-order soon, so you can RSVP to be notified of its launch.

Streaming Content

Trivial Cahoots

Let’s dive deep into fairytales, folktales, and mermaid lore! Join for Trivial Cahoots, a game where the audience gets to participate LIVE at 4pm PT that day. You’ll answer between 15-20 trivia questions using a mobile device as their buzzer. Expect questions related to pop culture mermaids and other aquatic creatures. Winners get Sideshow rewards for their account and bragging rights.

That Sideshow Show

That Sideshow Show is a livestream dedicated to shenanigans. Join our hosts exclusively in the Let Your Geek Sideshow for a wrap-up and continuation of the day’s celebrations, plus the possibility to enter to win awesome prizes.
