The Cutest Star Wars Creatures

Grogu (species unknown)

Nobody is immune to those floppy ears — nobody. After capturing the hearts of millions of fans globally, Grogu has only retained his cuteness. His huge eyes, tiny little clawed hands, and soft babbling are just some of the things that make him absolutely irresistible. No wonder Din Djarin was willing to risk his entire career and life to protect the Child! Green, wrinkly, and perfect, Grogu is definitely a top contender for cutest Star Wars creature of all time.

Loth-cat / Tooka cat

Kitty! As mischievous and adorable as our real-world felines, Loth-cats reside on Lothal. Although not fully domesticated, they like to hang out with humans. This subspecies of tooka cats especially gravitate towards Rebels and people with strong connections to the Force. When not sleeping on Garazeb Orrelios or hanging out with Sabine Wren, the Loth-cats can also be seen hitching rides on Loth-wolves. Now that’s a balanced ecosystem.

Porg

Resembling even rounder yet beakless puffins, Porgs have small brains, big eyes, and a great impact. Natives of Ahch-To, the non-sentient birds are naturally curious and can be found literally everywhere on the seaside planet. To look at one is to be overwhelmed with the urge to hold and gently squeeze it. Of course, that is if you can catch a porg! Although stocky in form, porgs are actually quite light and can run fast and fit into small spaces.

Bogling

This one’s for the gamers. Part of the Jedi: Fallen Order™ video game series, boglings live on Bogano. They’re distinct for their long legs, bushy tails, and the “eep” noise they make as they run amok. Boglings nest and tunnel in rocky plains and marshes. The boglings are fast jumpers and reproduce by laying eggs, despite their mammal-like appearance. To add to their adorability, they also travel in packs, which means you can always see a bunch of boglings together. Yes, please!

Ewok

Yub nub! To us, Ewoks are basically massive teddy bears. These sentient furry friends have big, watery eyes and soft fur. They live on the forest moon called Endor. They also congregate in tribes, raising families and erecting villages that blend into the natural environment. Ewoks, while a little jittery by nature, can be persuaded to trust outsiders if their goals and morals align. Plus, these critters sure know how to party!

Dewback

Hey! Reptile lovers have rights, too. We acknowledge everyone out there who loves lizards. Green, scaly, and kind of slithery, dewbacks are most often found in desert environments. Sandtroopers, a specialized variation of stormtroopers, use them to track targets across the sand dunes. These large creatures are often described as hardy and even graceful, able to traverse difficult terrain without losing their riders.

Bantha

Banthas are another unusual choice. But cuteness isn’t limited to small creatures with big, round eyes. Covered in fur, with twisting horns, banthas are similar to cows or buffalo — though much, much larger. These desert-dwelling behemoths travel in herds. Sand People often use them for transportation, and as such, you can hear their lowing throughout Tatooine. Banthas are gentle, lumbering, and loyal. Good on you for picking them in this poll!
