Dungeon Crawler Carl Series Order

Peacock has given a straight-to-series order for the live-action adaptation of Dungeon Crawler Carl, written by Matt Dinniman.

In Dungeon Crawler Carl, “an alien invasion has wiped out most of humanity and any survivors are forced to fight for their lives on a sadistic intergalactic game show. Sounds bad, right? Now try doing it with bare feet and a stuck-up, self-centered, tiara-wearing talking cat as your partner.

Welcome to Dungeon Crawler World: Earth, where the apocalypse will be televised … and Coast Guard vet Carl finds himself stuck with his ex-girlfriend’s award-winning show cat, Princess Donut the Queen Anne Chonk, as they try to survive the end of the world, fighting monsters, aliens, an insane A.I. and even other survivors … all for the sake of good TV. Survival is optional. Entertainment is not.”

Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door and Universal will produce along with the author.

Pippi Longstocking Animated Series

Variety confirmed that Studiocanal and Heyday, collaborators for the Paddington series, are working with Mediawan’s Submarine, and The Astrid Lindgren Company, are developing a new Pippi Longstocking animated series.

It’s set to be a 3D CGI animated series. The story will revolve around Pippi, who arrives in a small town with mismatched stockings, carrot-colored hair, freckles, a monkey on her shoulder, a huge travel bag full of gold coins and a horse she can carry. For Tommy and Annika — and the rest of the town — life will never be the same again.
